Be kind to yourself

Most of the times people tell us to be kind to others because they are fighting silent battles. Have you thought the same thing towards yourself? It's easy to be kind to others, but why is it so difficult to be kind to yourself?

Everyday you wake up, put a smile on your face and yet feel awful inside. You keep beating yourself up for the things that you should or you should have not done.

You cheer others up, yet you tell negative things to yourself. You try to be there for others when they need you, but you have never really took time to sort things out and appreciate yourself.

Yes, loving others is important but how can you love them if you don't have it? You can't even love yourself for who you are. It's ok to cry when you feel like it. It's ok to be honest to yourself and to feel not ok. What's not ok is to keep on pretending that you are fine when you're not. It's not selfish to love yourself. As the saying goes 'you cannot share what you do not have.'

At the end of the day you will be with yourself. So be kind enough to love yourself and keep that genuine smile on your face. Remember this, YOU have YOU no matter what happens. Don't lose yourself in this lost world.
