As you die
When you are alive, many people don't pay much attention to you.
They either like you for what you can do for them or they hate you for being you.
When you're alive, only a few people are able to see your worth.
They are the people who treasures your presence and existence.
When you're alive, you are constantly rejected and no one shows you love.
They always forget to show you and make you understand how important you are.
When you're alive, you have to keep proving yourself.
They tend to make you feel and realize that no matter what you do, you will never be enough.
When you're alive, you constantly seek for love and acceptance.
They tend to make you feel worthless and unappreciated.
When you're alive, you are constantly exhausted for the same old routine.
They suck the life out of you.
When you're alive, all your tears and pain are seen as either normal or nothing compared to their pain.
They tend to compare their life with yours and make you feel that your pain is irrelevant.
When you're alive, the more you achieve something, the more you feel empty.
They make you want to reach for more which leads you to discontentment.
When you're alive, you always strive to get better and do better.
They make you want to push yourself to your limits which makes you seek for their acceptance.
When you're alive, you feel tired and want to give up.
They keep on pushing you down even when you're already on the cold hard ground.
When you're alive, you seek for acceptance.
They make you feel unappreciated and invaluable.
When you're alive, you are having a hard time finding joy.
They make you sad and even when you choose to be happy, sadness follows you around.
When you're dead many people will show sympathy to your bereaved family.
They will bring you flowers and say positive things about you which you can never hear nor appreciate.
When you're dead, an overflowing love will consume your funeral.
They will share a story together with you where you are the star or the main character.
When you're dead, many people will shed tears for you.
They will shed tears out of pure sadness or they will shed tears out of regret.
When you're dead everybody will listen to your requests.
They will buy what you have always wanted when you were still alive but the sad part is that you can no longer use and appreciate it.
When you're dead, people will start listening but it's too late.
They will blame themselves for not taking action and for not noticing you.
When you're dead, people will start regretting the wrong acts they committed against you.
They will be filled with guilt for not being nice with you.
When you're dead, many will mourn for a few days.
They will eventually move on and forget about you in no time.
When you're dead, they will only say nice things about you.
They will never say a single bad word against you.
When you're dead, you can never feel the same warmth form those people who are dear to you.
They can never hold you again.
When you're dead, many people will tell your story to others.
They will make an impression that they did their part in your life even when what they did was to hurt or blame you.
When you're dead, only a few people will be able to cry for you truthfully.
They will cry to their hearts content until no more tears will come out.
When you're dead, you will be shared on social media.
They will post it in order to show that they love and appreciate you that much.
It's ironic as to how people wants to show you how they love you when you're dead and ignore you the whole time that you're alive.
People don't take their lives just because they want attention. They do it because they want the pain to stop.
People slice their skin not because they are masochist. They want to feel alive by inflicting pain to their bodies.
When everything's too much we want to put an end to it by ourselves, but the truth is it doesn't stop when we die.
When we die there are two destinations for us. It's either we go up or down.
Many people don't believe in this but not because you don't believe it means that it isn't true.
There is life after this life on earth. This is also the reason why we experience pain, hardships and trials.
The eternal life offers an everlasting peace and joy in the presence of God.
Only God has the right to take away the life He has given us.
Let us be sensitive enough to the people around us. We all need care.
If it's you who needs it, seek help. You don't have to go through things alone. You need someone to be with you.
If you need someone to talk to, talk it out, stop keeping everything to yourself.
Mental health is not a joke. It is an important matter. Seek for help.
If you feel like you're slowly losing yourself, there's no need to fear. Ask for help form the people around you.
If you have lost someone in the battle of depression, I pray that you will find peace and joy in life.
If you feel like the world is too harsh on you remember that your battles are known by God.
He cares for us more than anyone.
Let us spread mental health awareness especially during this season.
