It's generally a sunny 27°C weather though there are some clouds at the sky. Since it is early and my comrades are not yet around, I went to the rocky shore of Sitio Bagbag hereat Quirino, Bacnotan, La Union, Philippines to take a look at the view of the beach that I used to frequent before. Then when my comrades arrived, we climbed the mountain to start our routinary rounds.

KUNG HEI CHOPSUEY! My youngest daughter bought chopsuey ingredients to satisfy our cravings for this kind of food. Then I noticed that she did not bought some meat as add-ons for the menu. I suggested that instead of meat, she added tofu and voila, an all vegetable nutritious chopsuey is served! 🤗❤️👍

Just flexing the haluhalo my neice is selling at their food stall. This is perfect to refresh ourselves against the soaring heat during daytime. From misty clear to bright sunny weather at 24°C. Early in the morning, as I about to board my motorcycle, I noticed that the seat is wet though it did not rained last night, an indication that the weather is foggy. Then I went to the nearby mountain side and found our that fog had blanketed the mountains from afar as well as the river is somewhat covered with smoke.

CHICKEN TINOLA Sometimes the weather can make us feel sick especially when it's cold during night time until morning then becomes hot from late in the morning until afternoon. To get rid of cold symptoms, I suggested to my wife to make chicken soup, locally known here in the Philippines as tinola and add some generous amount of lemon grass leaves and some sliced ginger so that the comforting effect of the soup can immediately felt upon every sip. Mc Cormick Irish Cream Liqueur A friend who is staying overseas gave me this surprising treat yesterday. Since I am more familiar with beer, gin, rum, Korean wine and brandy, I don't have any idea on how to drink this stuff and the right kind of mixes that go along with this elixir. SALUTE TO THE FARM WORKERS! Last night, I watched on TV how some of our favorite vegetables are being conveyed before they arrive in our table to be consumed. It's a hot partly cloudy 29°C Monday! The ground is turning brown as the grasses start to dry while deciduous trees had shed their leaves. It's like there are two or three seasons in one setting. Summer for the hot weather; autumn for the shedding of leaves and spring for the emerging leaves but actually in tropical countries like the Philippines, we only have two seasons which is wet and dry.

Got an erratic weather today. It's somekind of actual versus virtual. It says on my phone that it's mostly sunny at 29°C but in the real world, there are clouds all over and it's windy and gloomy. Simply sardines in olive oil. This tastes better than the canned salmon that I posted for about a month ago. For comparison, the olive oil retained the fishy taste of the sardines while the brine added to the oil in the canned salmon makes the fish almost tasteless and the oil is quite salty to taste.

To the last drop from my evening chill. Since I was vaccinated and was advised to abstain from alcohol intake, I kept this bottle of Irish cream liqueur for about a week and it's only last night that I opened it and finally consumed all it's content. Finger-lickin' spicy Jolly Mac Chicken! Went downtown to satisfy my craving for fried chicken and here's what I got! For me, it tastes like the fried chicken being served at leading fastfood chains without spending too much. PANUTSA; TAGAPULOT; SINAM-IT, whatever you call this stuff in your local or native language for sure you love this thing because it's sweet! For those who are not familiar, this is sugarcane jaggery, made from solidified cane juice then molded in coconut shell.
