Just flexing the haluhalo my neice is selling at their food stall. This is perfect to refresh ourselves against the soaring heat during daytime. For those who don't know yet, haluhalo or sometimes spelled as halo-halo is a sweetened refreshing dessert composed of shredded ice; boiled bananas, sugar beets, and/or sweet potato; rice crispiest; milk; sago; gulaman; and sometimes topped with ice cream. This refreshing dessert was introduced by the Japanese settlers long before the start of World War 2. If you happen to be at San Juan, La Union, Philippines, go to San Juan-San Fernando Diversion at Panicsican area and look for La Ranz Store that is located along the street. There are other native food stuff like tupig (cake made of rice, solidified muscovado sugar and coconut milk) that is being sold in the store.
