Pros and Cons in Purchasing Online *Online shopping spread worldwide, and here in the Philippines we have the Shopee and Lazada as the most popular shopping app/site. But then, since it's online there are advantages and disadvantages in purchasing items. I remember the very first time I plan to order in Shopee because in my local place this is more popular, then I asked my friends how to do it and they explain to me how, while one of my bestfriend sent me a video tutorial. Haha* *As a shopper who cares about the quality of the product, it is good that we must double-check those shop and products that we want to purchase. Tiktok and Facebook, are common platform where you can mostly see suggested products that can easily attract netizens to buy. There are cases that we are persuade how it looks, or for example in beauty products on how it gives a good results to users; without knowing that those are sponsors. We watch/read, go to shopping application, add to cart, check-out, but got disappointed once we recieve the product.* ________________________ Buying online for almost 9 months, I have learned some pros and cons of choosing online than physical store; Pros You can read feedbacks Good thing about purchasing online is that you read buyer's comments. You can check if they are satisfied or dissatisfied about the products, even the seller's accommodation, and on how they securely packed items before shipment. Through this, you can see if the products are in good quality and shop's service. Less effort In purchasing online, all you need to have is a good internet connection and after that you can freely select shop and items, even you're at home. I love to go shopping with my mom, but in most cases she always get tired easily, now that we are using shopping app, we just sit on living room and choose what we want. Lots of choices Just like Shopee app, there's a lot of shop and products that we can choose. For example you want to buy a dress, then you go in a mall and inside that mall there are only 3-5 mini store which you can choose, and at the end you haven't seen anything that you like. But in online, there are hundreds of stores which you can select. Personally, I prefer to buy dresses online because most of their styles are not in the mall or too expensive. Sales and vouchers I know in mall there are also sales. But what I like more in shopping app is aside from many/occasional sales, they also provide vouchers which can help us to get less in purchasing products. I have a lot of vouchers, just no money intended to check-out items haha Cons Shipout/Delivery takes too long Most of the excellent shops are located in Luzon, while me, I am living in Mindanao and the earliest package that we recieved from there takes 1 week. I also tried to buy art materials online and I'm very disappointed because it takes two months before I received the items, bad thing is I cannot cancel and there's no response in my chat. Missing and/or wrong item This is what I hate the most in recieving products, because imagine that you pay right amount and recieved incomplete items. I also read some comments saying "I picked red color but the seller give me green color", it's really disappointing, once there's comment something like this, I immediately leave the shop. Bigger shipping fee There are shops which we can't apply shipping voucher, and in most cases shipping voucher can only be applied when you reach a specific amount; 249 php as an example. Since that we are located in Mindanao, we reached 3-4$ shipping fee in other shops. So better that if you buy online, buy it all in one store for less shipping fee. *That's it readers, just few points based on my own experience. I really agree with this my friend because a bitter experience has befallen me when I first bought products online. The item looks interesting and I feel it is very suitable for me to use because the knitting coat is my dream after I ordered it according to my order regarding the size and shape a few days later I received the item and what happened was not what I expected, apparently the size is very small and does not fit my body size Regret is indeed in me, not because of the amount of money I spent, but the service that was concerning because of this incident I was more careful when ordering goods. Apart from what you describe, I always try to communicate directly with the shop owner about the goods and as a result, so far I have not been stuck in the same hole again.
Oh my, I also experience this one, and also a dress which is so big on me. Because in photos they look so perfect but in reality just disappointments. But then, we should be more careful next time. Thanks for sharing Pajeroz:)

I'm also an online shopper for almost three years, and in three years I have already encountered some cons, which I guess sometimes we really can't avoid. We don't even know who's to be blamed as sometimes we can't even reach the seller 😆. However I'm still satisfied with almost all of my purchases online, as the products and the services meets my expectations. It was indeed easy to shop online. There's a lot of stores, a lot of different varieties and different brands and so you have so many choices, plus you can save because of vouchers, you just need to be very careful in choosing the store as some of the stores and products are not worthy by it's price and also some of their services was poor.
Yung wrong item talaga sis nuh. Masakit yun pero never ko pa na experience sis at wag naman sana. Meron talagang advantage and disadvantage para lalo lumakas ang online shopping nung nagka pandemic sis.
That's why I really prefer buying online. I can easily choose what I like in a click. Whenever I order for a specific occasion, I usually order in advance to avoid conflict in time.
There are many stories about online purchases, a few years ago I was dragged into a fraud case and at that time there was no sign of an online purchase application only through IG media and I was trapped, maybe I lost around 70$ and it was wasted on fraudsters. Maybe this will be a good reason for us to be more careful. Carefully review the product and the store according to the description of this article because everything will lie in our actions.
Online shopping really time saving thing it gets peak in Covid19 pandemic time. But now becoming a trend about it . Yes the best thing buyer's comments about the product are valuable and a clear picture about it . Exactly at play store when we wantes download any new app , the comments previous made our help.

Ako sis di ako bumibili pag sale ang Shopee kasi napapansin ko mataas ang sf pag sale sila. Yes advantage talaga pag maraming available vouchers pero just like you said need pa umabot sa kanilang minimum purchase Kaya style ko din hanapin sa isang shop ang lahat ng needed ko para tipid sa sf or I choose overseas shop kasi P40 Lang ang sf nila Kaya usually Naka free ako dahil sa vouchers. About sa items na Mali I experience it lately Lang. XL ang order ko ang binigay XXL at Mali pa ang design at same design different sizes Lang hayst. Yung ibang seller eh parang gusto Ata walang sales. Sa reviews din ako nagbabasa bago bumili at least proven na ng iba.
Buti nalang talaga sa shopee at lazada wala pa akonh naeencounter na malala jan like sirang items tas binayadan ng mahal. Puri cheap item lang binibili ko dun ee mostly pa damit. Nawiwili na din talaga ako mag shop online aguyy
I often get confused when it comes to online shopping especially if it has to do with clothing items. Size 4 of a person in China can be different from a Size 4 Nigerian, and then you end up purchasing something you can't even use.
I really like buying things online because I always try to find some good deals and I am just buying when there is a free shipping or the shipping fee is just a little. I am glad that I haven't really gotten any order that is wreck or have some damage there is some a little damage but it is all understandable because of the shipping process.
I haven't had much luck in most of the things I bought online lol! Good thing though that I can give that away to those who can use it.

Online shopping is very convenient especially that we don't need to go to the store and wait for a long queue in the cashier area. Howbeit, the problem is that, sometimes the item is more likely expectation vs reality so we need to really try to check in the review section.
