More than two crore children across the country are being given vitamin A capsules on Sunday (October 4). It will continue till October 16. The National Nutrition Service and Public Health Organization (IPHN) under the Department of Health will administer the capsules for eight days during this period. Previously the activity was conducted in one day every year. The one-day program will be done in eight working days keeping in mind the health protection issues due to coronavirus infection. Nutrition and Public Health Line Director. Mustafizur Rahman said on Saturday that this time the permanent staff of the health and family planning department along with 240,000 volunteers will feed the capsules at 120,000 centers. In this case, 24 lakh children aged six to 11 months will get one blue capsule each. And one crore 93 lakh children between the ages of one to five years will get one red capsule each.
