The Place and Importance of Mathematics in Education
The education process, which starts at home and continues with school, and where our personal, spiritual, social and knowledge base develops, covers an important part of our lives where personal differences emerge. It is an undeniable reality that every lesson in the education process contributes to the development, future and opening of the horizon of the person.
Maths; It is one of the most important lessons that has the feature of being at the very center of life. Contrary to popular belief, mathematics is not just about numbers and symbols. They simply express the language of mathematics. Mathematics is actually a branch of science that gives us a different perspective, improves our ability to evaluate events, and enables us to establish a cause-effect relationship.
When this is the case, the importance of mathematics comes to the fore both in the process of obtaining the achievements in life and in the construction of the future.
Our parents, who are aware of this and attach importance to the fact that their children can establish the future, act with the awareness of this situation, raise their children's awareness on this issue, and warn them about giving the necessary importance to mathematics in their education at school. However, since the Mathematics course has the feature of being a cumulative course, the lack of infrastructure of the students can unfortunately lead the process to negative results. Because the existing deficiencies make it almost impossible to grasp new information, a vicious cycle of avoiding mathematics, then fear and dropping grades is constantly reached, and the same point is constantly reached.
Now, in this process, mathematics course reinforcement becomes mandatory. One-to-one private lessons, taking into account the situation and characteristics of the lesson and the student, at the right time and place; Students should be brought together with a teacher who has communication, understanding, patience and tolerance. In this process, the student's prejudices against mathematics should be broken, and self-confidence should be instilled by gaining the emotion and behavior that he can do the lesson.
As a result of these gains gained over time, the student begins to enjoy the lesson and to be able to answer questions. Then it becomes inevitable to achieve certain success.
We wish all of our students to evaluate the education process in the best way, to achieve maximum gain and to prepare their future in the best way...
I totally agree. For some people, Math is just a boring subject. Perhaps because the teacher does not know how to properly teach and engage his students but to those who can teach well, it is a great subject. If one is smart with Math, then he is smart in life.
