I got an offer for a night

Hello there fellow writers especially in Mindanao and Visayas area. Hope you are all fine after Typhoon Odette landed in our country. I know many are really affected and even lost their homes. As I was browsing Facebook earlier I saw a lot of posts of my friends and colleagues were affected by the typhoon. Our province was also included in Signal no. 3 and as of now electricity is not yet restored. Some of our neighbor's houses were damaged because of the strong wind. I was just thankful my family was safe! To all who are affected, sending my virtual hugs! For today, I will be sharing with you one of my unforgettable memories . It was not so good actually and there were still times I got mad every time I remember. **Let's go back on the year 2007.** If you are already friends with noise cash, I had posted that I quit for 2 year after I graduated from high school due to financial issues. I started working at an early age of sixteen. I even had an experience working as a housemaid, that was my first job after I graduated. I am telling you guys, it was not that easy! It was so tiring. I was just thankful my employer was okay. So, to all working as domestic helpers, I salute on you guys. In my case it only lasted for three months. I did have several jobs, sales lady, promo and even working in a wet market. Well life is hard dude. I can't be choosy right? Who would accept an underage to work? After a year, I landed working in a restaurant and I was the one assigned in all drinks and desserts. All of my co-workers were actually college graduates or had a related ladderized course. I was just lucky as someone backed me up. Well as they say, " it's not what you know, but to whom you know. My co-workers were all okay, as a matter of fact, I was the "baby" in the group. Hehehe, I am the youngest. I was only seventeen during that time. One time, they invited me to join them for a night out. Our work usually ends at 11PM . I don't want to go with them as I don't drink alcoholic beverages. I was Ms. Goody two-shoes. Literal Besh! However they were all persistent and even promised I don't need to spend anything as it's their treat to the baby girl. Hahaha, so even though I want to sleep I go with them. Usual happenings, they had beers and videoke. After I had several bottles, I guess 3 San Mig lights I already felt tipsy. I told my friend Ana, I wanna go home. Ana was so understanding and we bid goodbye to our male co-workers as they are still enjoying themselves.

**I got an offer for a night.** It was already 2 A.M and I had a feeling I wanted to puke while were waiting for a ride. So my friend told me to stay and wait for a taxi as she going buy something to make me feel better. I remained standing when suddenly a car stopped in front of me. The window opened, but the guy in the passenger seat didn't go out. He called me. *Stranger: Miss* *Me: Yes, is there anything I can help?* *Stranger: How much?* *Me: huh? How much is what?* *Stranger: You, how to spend a night with you?* I was shocked! So I asked the guy, " *Do I look like offering a night*"? Manong ( this is how we addressed an older man to us) I am only seventeen, meaning I am not yet of legal age. Doesn't mean I am standing here at this hour I am offering something. I am just waiting for a ride to go home. So go and find someone who is in that field. Thankful, after saying that he asked for an apology and left. I was in Iloilo during that time. That was not the last, as I experienced that again when I was here in Manila. It was already twilight and I was waiting for my bestfriend somewhere in Cubao. A guy approached me again and asked ***" How much "*** for a night. I really felt embarrassed as though I was wearing shorts at that time it was not that short. Just two- three inches above my knee. I was wearing a Tee and I didn't even have a make up. **Closing thoughts.** Until now I was wondering why I got those offers because honestly I don't think so I look like offering that kind of service. I was even a boyish type back then. The only reason I am thinking is maybe I was standing in an area to pick up girls. It is because I was alone? I am not really sure. Since then, I have learned my lesson. I never dare to stand again somewhere if I am waiting for someone. I make sure to wait in some crowded places. In the event that I was still out at wee hours I make sure I am waiting for a ride in a safe area. Well good thing there is now grab. That's all for today and thank you for dropping by.
