I grew up in a small baranggay and our family is the poorest. Our mother is a vendor. She sells fruits sometimes "kakanin". She has to sells fruits or whatever she has to sell under the heat of the sun. We are 8 siblings and she has to send us all to school. Sometimes, before we went to school, we have to borrow money from our neighbors para may pambaon kami. 😢 There was this person who told our mother na bakit pa kami pinapaaral na kailangan pa niya kaming utangan ng pambaon namin, bakit hindi nalang daw kami tumigil sa pag aaral. Also, I forgot to add, ang bahay namin ay talagang sirang sira na. Sako na nga lang ang ding2. However, our mother just ignored all of those negative feedbacks. I can still remember everytime she arrives home from selling, nag aagawan kami sa basket na dala niya if ano ang laman. 😂 When we graduated from high school, we did our best to send ourselves to college. I was a working student. I did part time jobs as well. With Gods guidance and blessings, nakatapos kami sa college. We are now supporting them. 😇 Just want to share this. Education is really important. Kahit mahirap, kahit mahirap ka pa, kung gusto mo madami talagang paraan, at the end its all worth it. Btw, pic ng bahay namin, hindi pa tapos but almost there.
