Do you sit for the rest of the day? Are you on your phone and laptop from the time you wake up till you sleep? Many people suffer from poor blood flow circulation. Blood circulation is one of the most important functions in the body. It supplies oxygen to the brain and other organs. This is what makes our body work. Poor blood circulation is because of smoking, lack of exercise and sitting for too long in the same place.

If you don't know whether you have a good or poor blood circulation, here are the main signs you will see:

You feel the numbness and tingling sensation of both hands and feet.

You find your hands and feet always cold.

You experience swelling most of the time around your feet, ankles and legs.

You have developed varicose veins.

You feel so fatigue.

You can feel your muscles cramping.

But there are many reasons and ways for you to improve you blood circulation even when you are at home always or for the rest of the days.

1. Don't Sit Too Long

Are you sitting whole day facing your laptop? Well you have to change that as soon as possible. Go move. It is proven that sitting for too long reduced the blood flow from your legs. However, this is experience by people whose job only requires them to sit all day but it is best recommend to atleast alternate your sitting position, take some time to stand for a while and walk sometimes. Take some break from sitting whole day, take 5 minutes to stretch and move your body. Let your blood circulate!

2. Do Not Forget to Exercise Your Body

Exercising is one of the best way to keep your blood circulating. You don't have to do strenuous activities just to circulate your blood, walking, running, cycling, or swimming will get your blood pumping. When you feel your ankle or feet swelling because of staying in the same position for so long, you can put your legs in the wall position and this will help your blood flow properly. Doing some squats will also help your blood circulate.

3. Stop Smoking Now and Then

We all know about how bad smoke is. In fact, in every health tips smoking are one of the things we need to quit for a better health. Nicotine is the active ingredient in cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and smokeless tobacco. It harms the walls of your arteries and thickens your blood so much, it can’t get through.

Do you know that you are more likely to die earlier from any cause if you sit for a long period of time?

Research has found that sitting for a long period of time can make your brain act like someone with dementia. Moving throughout the day can help even more than exercise to lower your risk of all these health problems. Work more movement into your day. Stand up and stretch every half hour or so. Touch your toes. Take a stroll around the office. Stand at your desk for part of the day. Get a desk that raises or make your own: Set your computer on top of a box. Talk to your boss about a treadmill desk. All these things can help stop the negative effects of uninterrupted sitting and keep you on the road to good health.

Are you aware of blood clots?

Sometimes a blood clot will form without a trigger (such as an injury or cut). This is more likely to happen with certain risk factors or conditions. The leading risk factors include:

Prolonged sitting.

Prolonged bed rest.

Smoking.

Obesity.

There are still some ways to avoid it, learn to quit smoking. Do not just sit all day, learn to move your body and let your blood flow properly. You don't have to be an athlete who does a lot of heavy workouts, walking is enough. As long as it gets your heart rate up then you know your blood is circulating properly. A 20 to 30 minutes walking a day is proven to make your blood circulate properly. Walking can improve your heart and overall cardiovascular health. Remember that a healthy cardiovascular system is very important for proper blood circulation. You can also do yoga and deep breathing exercises that can boost your circulation. You can also lie on the floor and roll to your side with your bottom close to the wall. The best way to improve your circulation is to keep moving. Healthy circulation means more energy, better heart health, a glowing complexion and a longer life. Limit the time you spend on screen and start moving.

Very interesting read. I sit a lot throughout the day on the computer. I forget to get up and move around. That is one reason I like my apple watch. It reminds me to stand every now and then. Great read and can not wait to read more.
