The movie entitled, "Encanto", was released around the last month of the year 2021. The trailer alone was indeed astounding and magical that anyone would look forward to watching it.

After the movie was released, a lot of people were talking about the movie and giving their insights about it. It stole the hearts of each one as the story evolves around the family bond, love, and to name a few. How the characters portrayed their roles were relatable to each one as well.

Luisa

Luisa is one of the most relatable characters in the story. She is the one who carries the world through her shoulders. The one who has carried so much pressure from her family as she was portrayed as someone strong enough to handle anything. The pressure was on and was placed on her shoulders. With that, she's afraid to crack and look weak in the eyes of her family. She is the one who hides her emotions by looking tough and strong for her family's sake.

Isabella

Isabella may look perfect on the outside, but little did we know that she was wearing a mask of perfection to look perfect in the eyes of the people around her, especially on her family. She keeps on wearing it to avoid having disappointments from her family. The burden that she's feeling may not be visible from the outside, but it's indeed heavy on the inside. She loved her family that much that she doesn't want to let them down and get disappointed.

Mirabel

When Mirabel was still young, she was always astounded looking at each one holding their magic. But when it was her turn to receive her gift, she didn't receive any gift at all. With that, Mirabel thought that nothing special about her. She feels like she was not like the rest as each of them is happily sharing their gifts with the people. She may hide it, but there are a lot of questions going on in her mind on why did it happen, and why her among all the people.

Bruno

Bruno may be perceived as a villain especially in the beginning part of the movie, but Bruno has the kindest heart. He was just being misunderstood due to the power that he possesses. Bruno was helping the people a lot as he can predict what will happen in the future. Bruno lived a sad life after all since no matter how much he wanted to be with his family, all he could do is to hide in the walls, to avoid the judgments of the people around him.

Abuela

The pressure is on for Abuela. She wanted to have a perfect family. She wanted that each one in their family will succeed and will have a better life. She's been putting so much effort into everything to remain perfect and for them not to experience the trauma that she has experienced from the past. She act as a pillar in her family, providing a strong foundation no matter how many earthquakes would come their way.

Other characters give life to the movie as well: Dolores, Pepa, Mariano, Camilo, Felix, and name a few. But the characters mentioned are the ones who are most relatable with even on the thoughts of others.

Life Lessons from the Movie

The movie was well-crafted and well-thought. With that, there are a lot of life lessons we can extract from the movie. Life lessons that we can instill in our heart and mind, and apply in our lives for us to live with harmony and less pressure.

Embrace Your Vulnerabilities

You can never be strong all the time. You can always show your vulnerabilities and embrace them. Being vulnerable doesn't mean you are weak. Being vulnerable sometimes is a good thing as you are expressing what you're feeling at the moment. You are not faking to look tough or to look strong in front of people. You are simply being honest that not all the time, you are strong enough to carry everything on your own. The thing is, if you will allow the people to perceive you as strong all the time, they will perceive you that way. Show them what you are, that you are just a human who can feel vulnerable. You are like the rest and sometimes you want to take a rest from all the burdens that you are carrying. Again, embracing your vulnerabilities will not bring you down, instead, you are being authentic in your feelings.

Be Yourself

We can always wear a mask and look perfect in the eyes of everybody. We can always act how we wanted to be perceived by each one. We can do whatever we want and how we will be perceived, but we can never lie to what are we feeling on the inside. It is you who knows yourself better and not others. With that, stop faking yourself to be liked by most people, stop acting to be perfect, and avoid the disappointments that you might get from being true. Nobody is perfect. You are also a human being. You can never be great all the time. There will be times when you feel like you're not the prettiest, there will be times when you want to be silly, and be it. Be yourself. Never live a life that pleases anybody, instead, live a life of authenticity. A life that you are true to yourself, and showing what you are as a person. Never mind all the judgments and the negative opinions of the people around you. You are wonderful in your little way. Again, be yourself and love yourself.

Never Compare Yourself to Others

Admit it or not, this is one of the habits that we usually do unconsciously: comparing ourselves to others. We tend to compare that they are so good enough and you are not. You could mirror how high their achievements are then there you are at the corner not knowing what to do in life. You always abuse yourself but tell all the negative stuff you can see to yourself, as you think you are far cry from the people around you. You think you are nothing special. If you keep on doing that to yourself, then please stop. If there's someone who must believe in you, that would be yourself. If you are not believing in yourself, and you keep on comparing yourself to others, how painful it is for you as you lose in the end. With that, always remember that there's always a season for everything. Be happy for the achievements of each one, their season of success has come. Never compare your season to them. One day, you will be able to reach your goals and you will be glad for waiting patiently, and not comparing yourself to the people around you.

You Can Always Start Anew

When things are starting to fall. When nothing feels good that is happening in your life. When everything breaks and failures creep in the corner. Fret not, you can always start again no matter how much you fail in life. Even if you fall a thousand times, learn to rise in every downfall and never give up. You can always have a fresh start. One day, everything will come into place, and you will be glad for continuing and not showing a sign of giving up.

Indeed, Encanto movie is one of the best-animated movies that was released. It holds so many beauty and life lessons that we can always bring for a lifetime. Above all, it's a movie worth watching.
