You can Write - Guidelines to Improve your Writing Skills

Amongst the difficult hard jobs, writing is one. No matter what type of writing it is, whether it is research writing, thesis writing, blog writing, office writing, content, drama, poem, play, or XYZ writing, it is a very tough, hard, and difficult task.

Well, in writing, the hardest and most difficult thing or task is finding a topic, idea, or title. However, if you have the topic, or you have been given a task to write on some xyz topic, then either you may have some ideas what or how to write about it or may be you know nothing and unable to write ✍️ and you will hold pen in your teeth.

Without a topic/title/idea, it is impossible to write something.

However, if you have a topic but no idea, then it is the hardest part to write, but not impossible.

Then, How to Start Writing?

Well, search and find an interesting topic, you want to write about or you can write on. Once you get a topic, there will be two scenarios, either you will know what and how to write, or you just got an idea or topic, but you don't know what and how to write it. This is not too hard as finding a topic or idea, and congratulation you have a topic/idea.

Hmm, What will I do next?

In my point of view, the following step could help you to improve your writing skills.

I didn't say or guarantee it will make you an expert writer, but somehow it can be helpful to improve your writing.

So let's start writing, I mean explain steps that can help in improving your writing:

(A) You don't know or don't have any topic, tile or idea

Calm down... Search previous work/writings, that might be another article or books or research, about something you may know or happened with you or you want to explain, it can be an event, a tour, an issue, some update, mistake, guidance, even first day in school/college/university/work etc. It can be anything

(B) You got something in step A) or already knew or have a topic, tile or idea

(C) Follow below:

  1. Find More: Search more about the topic/idea/title/research you already had or got in step (A)

  2. Pick Updated Materials: Always try to pick the updated stuff (contents, article, research)

  3. Start Reading: Start reading about the topic (you want to write about).

  4. Take Points: Note down points while reading articles, blogs, or content.

  5. Build-Up Mind: Keep in mind each topic, idea, and word you noted down (in step 4).

  6. Make the Topic Interesting: Try to make your topic more attractive and interesting, rather writing some random or normal sentence

  7. Explain Step 4: It is the most important step for writing. When you build up your mind, start writing and start explaining points one by one.

  8. Don't Copy: If you do copy other's work, it is worthless and has no benefits - you don't need to write at all. Why again, if it is already written by someone else, however you can explain it more, update it more, analyze it, criticize it, continue it.

  9. Don't Sound Nonsense: Try to be precise or to the point. Avoid nonsense, the more you go straight forward and clear, the more attention you get.

  10. Connectivity: Try not to write irrelevant or unnecessary stuff in the article. It should be connected to topic, idea.

  11. Requirements: Fulfill the minimum requirements for your writing.

  12. Proofread (Read & Correct): Once you done writing, read your writing (blog, article thesis, research writing) and correct mistakes, spelling etc.

  13. Show to others: Before publishing, better show your work to other (trusted one(s)) for proofreading, checking connectivity etc.

  14. Publish: I think you good to go....Publish your work

In reality or in expert point of view or in your case steps may be vary, depend upon the scenario and need. It is just my own point of view. Mostly, I repeat the above steps while writing.

Hmm sometimes I get into such a situation that I can't find any topic and have to think for a long time about title. So when an idea comes to my mind, note it down immediately.
