The True Form of Self Love (#1)
November 3, 2022
How do we love ourselves and why does it matter?
Self-love, for me, means loving yourself more than anyone else. You have to treat yourself with kindness. Spoil yourself on the things that can make yourself happy and don't settle for less than you deserve. Self-love may sounds like selfish, but in this world full of fake loves, it's very necessary.
Stop caring what people say and think about you. They are not worthy of your time. Befriend with your conscience. Make it pristine. For as long as it makes you happy and for as long as you do nothing harmful your clear conscience will prove them wrong. Never show off. You really don't need to because you know yourself more than anyone else. You have nothing to prove to others. Be happy with yourself.
Ignore whatever misjudgements others made about you. You know who you are. Others only see your body but God sees your soul. How miserable one becomes when he chooses to be someone else's shadow just to fit in out of fear of being rejected if he doesn't, right? So you must celebrate your individuality. Accept both your positive and negative sides. All of us has that two sides, so never get insecure to others.
Disconnect with those who do not see your worth. Don't be "plastic", response what you have suppose to respond. You do not need to please them for it is as impossible as holding all the rains in your palm. Remember that it is in desiring to keep everything that one loses the joy of living. Go ahead. Dare to be different / unique. After all, we are all different.
What does Self-love look like?
• Being true to yourself
• Trusting yourself
• Prioritizing yourself
• Spoiling yourself
Though, Self-love may also look something different for others depending on their ways how to make their selves happy. It simply means that Self love is making yourself happy with yourself (who you are and what you are).
Final Words
At the end it is the judgement of God not of anyone that deeply matters. Learn to accept the fact that whether you do good or bad your critics will always have something to say. People being people. Ignore those things, if it cannot help you to be better. They are them, you are you. So what's the point of being too mindful of them? You are already enough, okay? Yes it's true!

But truth to be told loving yourself will be weaken and the process will collapse if you will know that the one you love is just fooling you around and he or she did not really love you. So self-love is really a tough form of love too, but if you will stay focus and do what is being said on this blog you would successfully achieve it. Don't resort to a relationship if you do not love yourself first.
