Hello ,it's @Lejay28 again! Hehe. How are you all?
COMMUNITY PANTRY
At the time like this, we should always ready to help other people who are in need. The only way to survive in this pandemic is to help each other.
I am very grateful to those people who planned and even started the concept/ idea of community pantries at the time like this, which is a very big help to other people.
Now, a hundreds of community pantries have grown up across the Philippines, providing a respite from a record COVID-19 surge during which hospitals are nearing capacity , vaccines are scarce, the economy is at a standstill, government help has been delayed, and people are going hungry.
People, despite the pandemic, have become more socially aware and actively functional in attending to the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed. While instead of hording for securing the uncertain future and averting their hunger, some generous and kind people came up with this great initiative to help the ones who are everyday carrying the burden on where to find food for the endless hunger battle.
The idea behind the community pantry was that people could take as much as they need and donate whatever they can. What Non believed was a necessary act of help cascaded into a social solidarity that spans a nation. She strongly argued against the glamourized narrative that the community pantry movement represents Filipino resiliency, but rather evidence of response and unity born out of necessity.
Food is just one among all long array of needs being indicated on the imaginary list at the back of our minds, but let us not discard that we should add to that list charity and integrity in these hard times.
I really hope that this kind of act spread to the whole world.!
Let's show our KIND HEART. Let's help each other.
P.s. All pictures are not mine.
Food is our basic necessity and glad to know community pantries are everywhere now to extend help for those needy.
