WHAT ARE ACCIDENTS

- Ito po yung mga unexpected bad and worst sceneries where people get injured

- Most accidents result in broken bones or injured muscles.

- Care of our bones and muscles calls for knowledge about common accidents especially sa bahay po natin. as it is these organs that often suffer during accidents caused by carelessness.

-Being careless, you may hurt yourself and cause great harm to your body.

ACCIDENTS

-So accidents refer to unexpected mishaps. If the resulting injuries are serve, send someone to call tor a doctor or ambulance immediately while you being first aid.

- In this situation po, ang oras po is vital importance; any delay attention increases the risk of complications or death.

*Some accidents po happens even sa bahay po natin so we really need to be extra careful of our self po.

COMMON ACCIDENTS AT HOME

1. FALL

- Bad Falls can cause death

- Dahil po dito, person can suffer from broken bones, sprains, dislocations or broken skull.

- Falls from a great height as form a building are more dangerous than falling from a stair or ladder.

- Falling head first is also more dangerous than falling with the body first.

*Several kinds of injury are caused by falls. There is the fracture or a break in the bones. There is the dislocation caused by the a bone set out of place at joint. There is the shock caused by falls from great heights or automobile accidents.

HOW CAN WE AVOID FALLS?

1. Toys, tools and other objects should be picked up and put away.

2. If we are reaching for something high, we have to avoid climbing unsafe ladders or stairs, or using chairs, weak boxes, Crates or barrels

3. Floor and stairs should be in good repair

4. Immediately repair unsteady ladders. If it could not be repaired anymore, destroy it.

5. Spilled water, greases, oil and other liquids should be wiped up us quickly as possible

6. Be careful when stepping on slippery floors especially in bathrooms.

7. Stairs and doorways should be well-lighted; use flashlight if possible.

8. Don't place small rugs at the bottom or top of the stairs as it may cause unexpected fails. If rugs must be used, they should be fastened to the floor.

2. BURNS

- These are the injuries caused by contact with strong heat.

- When a burn caused by hot liquid or hot moist vapor, the burn is called a scald.

- Most burns are caused by dry or moist heat. They may also be caused by electricity.

-An electric flash current causes electric burns.

- Chemical burns are caused by strong acids and alkalies.

- Some chemical burns are as dangerous as electric burns.

- Both may destroy the body tissues.

*Burns vary according to the degree or depth to with the body tissues are injured.

First degree burns

-the least serious

-their result is reddened skin only.

Second degree burn

- arr more serious

-They result in blistered skin

The third degree burns

-are the most serious

-they result in deeper destructions of the tissues

- great pain for the victim, and even shock

HERE ARE THE RULES FOR THE PREVENTION OF BURN:

1. Be sure to never to pour kerosene into a coal or wood stove, even if you think that it has no tire.

2.Lamps, matches, and lighted candies, pati po yung ibang pweding mag cause fire should be placed out of children's reach.

3.Don't place lighted candies or lamps near the curtains, draperies, or mosquito net.

4. Remove all dirt or rubbish under your house, in your yard or in street.

5. Be sure never to put water on flaming grease. Use salts, sand or sods to put out flames, or cover the pan with a metal lid.

6. Don't forget to put the fire before leaving the place of a bonfire.

7. Put kettles and pans with hot liquid or lard away from the edge of a stove, sink, or table.

8. Always keep the floor under a wood or coal stove covered with sheet of metal

9. See that older people never smoke in bed or on cushioned sofa or chair.

10. Don't throw cigarette stubs or matchsticks on piles of dry leaves paper, or wood without first steeping on them.

11. Always use cleansing fluids that do not catch fire

12. Don't allow your little brothers and sisters toy near bonfires

13. See to it that your electrical appliances are always in good condition.

14. See to it there are no chemicals around when you are lighting a match

15. Always turn off the electric iron or other electrical tools when not in use. This is actually a common cause of accidents or cause of fire.

3.CUTSCUTS PUNCTURES

- Cuts are open wounds made by any sharp instrument like a knife, a razor, or broken glass.

- They may bleed freely because the blood vessels are cut across although only a little tissue around the cut is destroyed.

- Because of the bleeding open wounds are not as likely to be easily infected as other kinds.

- Sharp instruments usually cause punctured wounds and stabs.

- Nails and ends of wires careless placed on walls, floor, or ground are common causes of punctures.

-Stabs and punctures do not bleed freely

*Hence, they are hard to clean and be come easily infected.

HOW CAN YOU AVOID PUNCTURED WOUNDS AND STABS?

1. Don't walk barefooted on dirty place kasi po kadalas po na mga places is meron pong mga matatalim na mga bagay galing sa mga basag na plates or mirrors po When your feet are unprotected, be sure to look out for broken glasses or nails

2. Razor and knife should be properly handled. Lahat po ng mga maaaring mag cause ng wounds. Put it in the proper place, malayo po sa mga bata.

BRUISES

- These are caused by blows on some parts of the body.

-The blow breaks small blood vessels just under the skin At dahil po dito nagkakaroon po ng swelling and discoloration on the part that got the blow.

*For as teenagers fight are so common today that you don't have to think long. When you box someone or you get boxed, you could get bruises. So mag iingat po

HOW CAN WE AVOID BRUISES

1. Avoid getting into fights and look carefully where you are going. Mag iingat po tayo always .Yan pi ang unang paraan to avoid bruises

2. Look out for posts or doors, or close windows

*In case po you get a bruises, ice or cloth wrung out of very cold water will prevent swelling and discoloration. It will lessen the pain.

4.ELECTRIC SHOCKS

- This happen when someone comes in contact witn a ive wire either through carelessness or through taculty wiring system.

- The contract results in electric

shock.

- The person who gets this contract may faint or get burned

- The first thing to do is to break the contact between the person and the live wire

- The person who does the breaking must first insulate himselt to avoid getting the shock.

- Kadlasan po yung mga nakakaranas ng electric shock they turn bluish in color.

- A person who has been struck by lightning will show the same signs as those ot one who gets an electric shock

HOW CAN YOU AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCKS?

1. Never touch any electrical appliance when hands are wet. I think we all know about this dba? Palagi po tayong pinagsasabihan ng ganito

2. Avoid buying electrical appliances that are of poor grade or quality or that have not been properly tested. Always choose to yung quality over sa price po. Lalo na po it's because ginagamitan po ng electricity.

3. Never unplug an appliance by pulling on the cord, or eventually you will break the connection. Natotonan ko po to ,dahil ito yung ginagawa ko datii, I always pull the cord of my charger which is very dangerous daw.

4. Avoid getting close to a swinging wire. lt may be in contact with a live wire somewhere

5. When there are faulty wires in your homes have a incensed electrician repair them. Like my father po, he always check po yung faulty wires sa bahay namin.

5.ANIMAL BITES

- Animal bites are painful and can be dangerous.

- We should always be on guard

therefore against getting too close to insect pests and animals.

-They may carry germs of certain diseases.

- Also some insect bites causes itching, burning, and smarting.

- Bites by spiders and some insects like black widows, scorpions, land centipedes are poisonous. We should know this.

- Bites by dogs and cats may cause serious infection cat bites are specially dangerous because the cat's teeth are very sharp and go deep into the bitten part.

*But if ever you are in this situation. The danger cats, and pigs carry rabies. Rabies is very dangerous but it can be cured by anti-rabies injection.

That is why when a dog, cat, or any nursing animal bites you, it is very necessary to consult immediately a doctor.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

There are a lot of accidents po na pweding mangyari araw araw, and it is unpredictable po. Sino yung makakaranas o sino yung hindi. That is why we need to always be careful on our doings po, anytime po and anywhere.

But kung maka kita ka ng person that needs a help, wag po kayong mag dalawang isip na tumulong sa kanila. Walang iba kung di tayo lang din naman ang pweding mag tulungan if ever we cross in an accident po. But always follow the health protocol po.
