If you are an underrated writer and still starting in the blogging industry, the first thing that you want to learn is how to gain more viewers and readers to grow your audience. Last time, we talked about things that you need to know before making a blog and we had a great feedback from the readers. Now, let’s talk about Blogging tips that can really improve your blogging knowledge.
BLOGGING TIPS THAT CAN HOOK YOUR READERS!
Make your introduction catchy
We often heard this on our school and mentor, your introduction is the first statement that the readers will read so it is important that their impression on your introduction is catchy and interesting.
As your introduction catch the reader, they will continue to read it and if you are lucky, they will read it from the beginning up to the end.
Keep it simple and short
This is the common mistake of many bloggers and writers as they are looking at the length of their content not knowing that they are talking not related on the main topic just to make it longer. As a writer, keep your content short and simple so the readers will not be bored while reading it.
In writing the paragraph, try to keep your short such as four to five sentences or lines per paragraph. So, it will look like shorter than what readers think. You can also make it simple by avoiding complex words so the readers will not be having a hard time to understand it.
Point of view
We can also consider the point of view that we will use every time that we will write a content. You can use the first-person point of view, so you and the reader’s presence were on the whole context.
The second-person point of view is the common view used by the bloggers as they are using this to explain it and let their readers on the real situation.
First-person of view includes I, we, us, me, myself etc.
Second-person point of view includes you, yourself etc.

Consider your grammar
Obviously, the grammar that you are using can affect your potential readers especially if they can’t understand it. Imagine that you are reading a content that full of grammatical and typographical error, what will be your first reaction?
If you can’t speak on foreign language or in English, much better if you will use your native language so it can improve your content and read your content by your readers with an ease.
On the other hand, if you are eager to use the English language, you can also use the Grammarly to improve your content and correct your mistakes automatically with an AI.
It is one of the hottest app, software and extension used by different writers. However, it is worked by AI or Artificial intelligence, even though it is popular, it can’t still replace the professional and human editors in checking grammars.
Thumbnail
The thumbnail is one of the things that can hook your readers especially that it is one of the first thing that the readers will see. The color and fonts should be interesting and can attract the reader’s attention. Therefore, you need to know the color that suits on your content and can hook more readers.
According to my research, “Yellow is the color of optimism, yellow conveys youthful, fresh energy. This color associated with success, confident. Yellow has been known for clear thinking and quick decision-making and yellow is great for grabbing attention because the human eyes sees yellow first.”

As what you have noticed on my thumbnails, I am always using yellow to grab more attention. You can also use circles and arrows to encourage and make the readers curious on the content. Its better if you will put a person’s face specifically shocking face reaction to make them more curious. This will serve as your bait, but it should be real and not a click bait.
Supporting data and information
In making a blog, its better if the content that you are writing that has supporting details, it can make your content stronger and let the readers believe on what you are talking about.
It can make them think that you are providing reliable information and trust what they are reading. This is also a must because you need to cite the sources that you used to give them credits.
On the contrary, if your blog is all about your personal experience, obviously, the source cannot be included because you are only narrating your story and experiences.
Bonus tip: You can also promote your previous articles indirectly by attaching their links on the texts. Make sure to put an encouraging statement to make them curious and look on your blogs.
CONCLUSION
There’s a lot of things that you need to consider before you start on your blog, these things are very important to grab more readers and expand your potential readers. This can also help you to become one of the overrated writers on the blogging industry. Always remember that in blogging, the length doesn’t matter, quality over quantity.
