Opening remarks

Hi guys, this article is about what I remembered when I first heard about this covid-19 diseases and I think this is the best way on how to tell the story, BTW guys the names of the true persons are changed for the sake of their privacy. Thank you!

How it happened

One good afternoon three girls are walking home from their schools. Maria, Anna and Den are their names. While walking, Anna brought up the news that she had watched last night, which is the news about the deadly virus. They know nothing about this virus, corona virus or covid 19 is the name of it, the symptoms are fever, dry cough, tiredness but some people experience aches and pain, sore throat, diarrhoea, Conjunctivitis, headache, loss of taste or smell, rash on skin, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, chest pain and loss of speech. The next day in school the girls started talking about this and they are also worried.

Anna: Have you guys heard the news last night? There is a virus spreading in the world! And it is said to be deadly! I saw it last night in the news of TV PATROL(local channel).

Den: yes, I heard that the first patient with coronavirus here in Philippines is a 38-year-old female Chinese patient, this news is confirmed by the DOH.

Maria: Oh really? Are you sure about what you are guys saying? Its not a good idea to spread fake news you know, specially the news you have will make the people nervous, panic and also scared.

Den: What are you saying we are spreading fake news? Didn’t you hear us? We provided a source already, watch the news everyday Maria, duh.

Maria: okay… okay, I’m sorry. I just don’t want to believed it because it is scaring me, but yeah, your right maybe I should watch news sometime and not only focus in my social media.

Anna: Stop arguing guys, lets focus more on the virus. Coronaviruses are a group of RNA viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. In humans and birds, they cause respiratory tract infections that can range from mild to lethal, that’s what corona virus is based on the web.

While talking and walking, Anna suddenly cough without covering her mouth. That made Maria moved away from her, Den and Anna are confused why, and they said that its not like they are not friends since child, why is Maria so sensitive? they are always sharing everything with each other like a real relative.

Maria: coughing without covering your mouth can transfer the virus inside of your body to us. Person-to-Person Transmissions is the reason why corona virus can be transmitted easily and spread quickly. So, from now on we will not share our private things to each other, ok?

Anna: understood! Its ok to be safe than to be careless. This virus is really dangerous.

Den: this corona virus is not should be scared of, as long as you’re taking care of yourself and avoiding the reason of transmission you can make sure that you are safe.

Anna: is that your view about the virus? Well your right, but for me, even though you be careful about everything there is still a chance that you will have it so it is really something to be scared of.

Maria: guys, I’m uncomfortable now.

Den: I think it will be ok if we don’t think about it a lot, let’s just head home the do all our homework.

Three of them headed home safe and sound. Tomorrow, while they are in the school their teachers tell everyone to go home already and that there is no class tomorrow till Friday because of the virus. So, the three girls called each other through gadgets.

On the phone…

Den: omgggg! What is happening?! The class is even suspended!

Anna: calm down, let us all pray and hope for this to stop.

Maria: you guys are right! News is really important. I hoped I watched it last night, if I only I have watched it then I have been updated! Now I learned my lesson.

Anna: guys lets just stay in our houses and don’t interact with people outside. it is said in the news CNN that there is a cure for it, but still not proven because they are still not done with the phase three. Let’s hope for it to be the cure for this pandemic.

Maria and Den: ok! Stay safe guys!

They ended the call and started watching the news to be more updated about the COVID 19. They didn't imagine that they will experience hard lockdown and strick surroundings, they can't do anything but to Wait for the cure and hopes to have the better and normal world again. The end.

Closing remarks

We never know what will happen in the next or in the future, maybe people are right about some things that we should treasure every moment of our life. Personally I known many people who didn't survive the pandemic and we can't go back time, we can't do anything about this. This pandemic made me realize that life is short, we only gonna live once because we never know what will happen after we live our world. Those are some of my realization about this pandemic, I hope that this will end sooner and live our life the way we live before. Remember to follow the safety protocols everyday to avoid catching this virus and always take care guys!
