Appreciation is the recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something.
How often do you appreciate a kind gesture, how often do you appreciate those little favour done to you?
Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other. People believe getting what they paid for is their right and shouldn't warrant gratitude, but how you ever taught about it this way, if these people I pay to do my work for me decide they won't do it, will my money do the work on its own?
If you don't show appreciation to those that deserve it, they will learn to stop doing the things you appreciate. When you appreciate others it pushes them to do more, appreciation brings out the best in people.
Appreciate every good deed done to you, appreciate your house, who try so hard to take of house chores, appreciate that taxi man that drops you off, appreciate that teacher that teaches your children, appreciate every good thing that comes your way.
Forms of appreciation
Appreciation can come in the form of auditory expression, this way you show appreciation by words. Using nice words or praises, this suits the heart of the one being appreciated.
The visual display, appreciation by the issue of gift and other tangible things.
Appreciation by reciprocating, you reciprocate a gesture being done to you. Always see a reason to do more, a man that appreciates gets the best of people.
Apology
An apology is a regretful acknowledgement of an offence or failure. How well do you accept your mistakes, how often do you use the word "I am sorry"?
Remember apologies doesn't mean anything if you keep repeating the same offence when you apologize to try to show how sorry you are by not committing that same mistake.
Apologizing doesn't always mean you are wrong and the other person is right, it means you value your relationship more than ego.
Many relationships have collapsed just because of no apology, it's easy to say sorry on your own but hard to say it to people especially when you think you are right, but we must learn to do it.
Always have appreciation and apology in you so it won't be hard to give it out when necessary. One I am sorry can solve thousands of intending quarrels or misunderstanding.
