However, Axie Infinity is based on Ethereum blockchain. Like Axie Infinity, you can also breed and evolve your pet, play against other players, sell your pets in their market place and more. However, currently, the only feature available for now is for breeding and growing your pets and base. Other features are still yet to be live, simply because the game is still new and need to be developed more.
Since My DeFi Pet is in the Binance Smart Chain, every time you buy an egg (to be hatched into a random pet), it will only cost not more than $0.50 worth of BNB for a transaction fee. A way cheaper than with Axie Infinity...and a lot faster too.
The DPET Token.
The DPET token is the native token of the My DeFi Pet game. The token is what you use to buy an egg in the game, hatch it to turn into a pet and then breed and evolve it in the game.
DPET is a cryptocurrency that is currently available on Pancakeswap. At the time of writing, each DPET token is worth $0.77. Not a financial advice, but this token can also be worth to hold because it has surged from $0.20 to over $1.00 since launched.

How Much Money Do I Need To Start?
I know this question is what you really need to know. You must be thinking that for you to start playing a Blockchain game like this need huge amount to start, but no.
Currently, each egg in the game is valued at 3 DPET tokens per egg. And let's say you sided $1.00 of BNB for you to use in future transactions.
Let's do the math;
1 egg = 3 DPET,
3 DPET x $0.77 (price of each DPET token) = $2.31.
$2.31 + $1.00 (BNB for transaction fee) = $3.31.
$3.31 worth of BNB is all what you need to start playing the game.
But of course, if you only have few pets, the growth of your base will be a lot slower compared to other players who have more than 3 pets.
The more pets you have, the faster your base will grow. And the faster it is, the faster your pet will grow and evolve too.

My DeFi Pet is just a new game but already getting popularity too to blockchain gamers. Obviously, it still can't compete with Axie Infinity because it only has few features available. But I believe when everything is fully developed, this has a chance and can potentially compete equally Axie Infinity, or even surpassed it.
