On That Stormy Day
I was told the story that I'm about to tell you by my friend T-san, who was the one who told it to me. Now, this creepy encounter occurred to him approximately ten years ago, and he says that it was something he personally witnessed, so I have no reason to mistrust him.
When the dreadful day arrived, T-san was driving in his automobile, as he narrates. He had gone to his friend's house and was now on his way back to his own house in the same car. Probably around 4 o'clock in the afternoon, was the time of the incident.
After a few hours of driving, he began to notice that something wasn't quite right. There were sounds of water drops hitting the body of his car, which he recognized. The sound of rain, however, did not scare him; rather, he was perplexed because the weather outside...was as clear as a day! Then, from where was this dripping sound of raindrops emanating?
T-san, according to what he recalls, stated that he was still driving at that time. He was struggling to come to grips with this confusing phenomenon...when his car collided with something unexpectedly. A resounding thump resounded throughout the vehicle. He felt a cold run down his spine, a chill that was unsettling.
T-san couldn't see what had hit the automobile because it was obscured by the surrounding foliage. He, on the other hand, had the distinct impression that something evil was lurking beneath his car's hood. He described the presence as "out of this world" and "supernatural," implying that it was supernatural in nature. His hands were trembling as he continued to drive towards his destination, despite his best efforts.
T-san increased the speed of his vehicle in the expectation that the 'entity' would be thrown off by the increased speed of the vehicle. He was shouting at the top of his lungs while driving at high speed. Those were the words that came out of his shaking mouth: "GET AWAY FROM ME!" The sound of the rain could still be heard.
T-san was traveling at an incredible rate of speed. The traffic light in front of him had changed to a red signal. Because the change in light was so abrupt, he was forced to apply heavy braking force. As soon as he applied the brakes of his automobile, there was the sound of something tumbling to the pavement. The presence of the entity was extinguished with the sound of a gunshot. T-san was also unable to hear even the smallest raindrops.
T-san managed to get to his house despite being paralyzed by terror. T-san, who was now interested in learning more about what he had experienced, dialed his psychic friend's number and described the entire incident.
T-psychic-friend san's informed him that an accident occurred at the location where he had felt the presence of the entity on the bonnet of his car a year before. On that particular day, it was drizzling fiercely. An elderly woman was crossing the street when a car slammed into her, knocking her to the ground. In this case, due to the woman's petite stature, her body became caught on the bonnet of the car. Her body remained in that posture until the automobile came to a halt at a red light, and as the car came to a stop, her body was thrown to the pavement. She was no longer alive. When T-san heard this, he was overtaken with emotion.
When I first heard this story from T-san, I felt conflicted. What I couldn't decide was whether I should be terrified or feel sorry for the old lady. What is it that causes some souls to reach nirvana? What is it that causes certain souls to become vengeful spirits? I couldn't come up with an answer.
It appears like attaining nirvana after death is a difficult task, doesn't it?
