i am a 40 year old venezuelan and i have lived all my life in venezuela and from my experience lived in all these years i would like to give a summary of what it has been like and the consequences of living in a socialist system of government.

In my opinion, socialism and communism are the same with some differences, in socialism they corrupt the voting system and in communism there is no popular voting system, but in the end it is the same dictatorship, one frontal and the other disguised and the other difference is that in socialism they progressively steal the properties and assets of people and merchants and in communism they steal the country's assets quickly, this is a system based on a set of ideas that do not work, but it makes some believe people who are the solution to your problems and that the state will solve all the problems you have.

I want to start by explaining why socialism came to Venezuela in 1998 and to know our present we must know our past, between the 70s and 90s some governments passed that were very corrupt and generated a very strong economic and social crisis, and in In 1989 an important event took place, a great protest in several cities of the country and the president at that time, Carlos Andres Perez, ordered the army to shoot the protesters and they murdered more than 3,000 people. The exact number is not known, but there were thousands. due to the time there were no means to spread the news and many know this event as something in which 300 people died, but I repeat thousands of people died, this event together with the economic crisis had Venezuelans very upset with politicians from that time they belonged to a political party called democratic action and another party called copey, for the 90s chavez appears as a soldier trying to carry out a coup against carlos andres perez and although his plans failed, many people saw chavez as someone who would fight against the corrupt politicians of that time and after a few years in prison chavez is released and he launched himself as a presidential candidate, with the promise of ending corruption and the profits from oil would go to health, education and public services, generating a better quality of life and with this group of lies he managed to win the presidency and the end of a country that, although it had economic crises, was a country that functioned normally and was a country full of opportunities for nationals and foreigners.

in a note to highlight about socialism and communism, what is on the internet remains on the internet and we can see videos of fidel castro before ruling cuba talking about progress and an entire free country working to progress and when he came to power he did the opposite and He expropriated all the assets of the people and Chavez was the same because we can find videos where he declares that he would not close the media and that the government would respect private property so that in freedom everyone could work and lead the country to progress but after a short time coming to power began to expropriate companies including television channels and radio stations, here you can see the example at the beginning of what socialism and communism are and that in the end they are dictatorships, all these leftist and socialist presidents The first thing they do when they come to power is change the country's constitution to be able to stay in power forever, making a corrupt alliance with with the military.

I am going to list some things that socialism did in Venezuela

1- The first thing was that, in the same style as Hitler, Chavez generated his form of government with hatred and had the objective of making Venezuelans hate each other because with a radical speech he accused all people of being traitors to the country and guilty of the country's problems. that they did not support him and he named the people who did not like squalid or imperialist socialism, in short, filling the country with hatred was his first government policy.

2 - created a system of centralized government where all decisions and government actions pass through his hands being the one who made all the decisions, in short a form of government type kings.

3- change the constitution to rule forever, in addition to changing the name of the country and the symbols of the nation to your liking.

4- took the military to the institutions and companies of the country as well as to political positions, turning military officers into mayors and governors in exchange for loyalty and total support for their government, in Venezuela it is a country where the military are candidates for positions of popular election and at the same time the military are responsible for taking care of the votes. in short, it empowered the military to gain their support.

5 - appointed directors and presidents of institutions and companies to members of the political party, ie the form of government is the party.

6- generated a series of measures in the educational system, which have undermined education in the country, if a student fails all his exams or never attends class, he must still be approved the following school year, in addition to indoctrinating the educational curriculum to politicize The education

7- made alliances with equally corrupt countries where there is no democracy such as Cuba, Russia or Nicaragua, where they have the same interests of governing forever

8- He dedicated himself to establishing a Cuban health system, forgetting to promote and strengthen the Venezuelan health system and while Cuban doctors earned their salary in dollars, Venezuelan doctors earned their salary in the Bolivar currency, which has been devalued every year.

9- began a process of expropriation of companies and land that began the destruction of the economy, Chavez personally expropriated companies on public television every week and most of them handed over these companies to the military and all these companies went bankrupt in a short time time, marking expropriation as the worst economic measure.

10- Among the companies that were expropriated are several media outlets, newspapers, television and radio stations. An important event was the closure of the RCTV television channel in 2007, an emblematic channel in Venezuela, where most of them were professionally trained. of Venezuelan actors and actresses, but with the arrival of social networks and independent media, we can know everything that happens in the country despite the fact that the big media are censored. media censorship is a hallmark of socialism and we can see it right now as russia has only one state channel where only what putin authorizes is announced.

11- In the main company of the oil country of Venezuela, more than 20,000 workers were fired, all with training and experience, and in their place they placed members of the political party, to this is added the closure of political and commercial relations with the main client and buyer of US Venezuelan oil, which caused oil production to drop from almost three million barrels per day to less than 500,000 barrels per day, leaving the country with a large decrease in its main source of income.

12- they gave power and immunity to criminal gangs, in exchange for political support, increasing insecurity in the country, robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking, rape, and other types of crimes.

13- The means of transport have had neither maintenance nor investments, leaving the country with a disastrous transport system

14- The electrical system is in the hands of politicians and the military and with the lack of maintenance and investments in technology, the country constantly suffers blackouts and power outages.

15- other public services such as the water system and the garbage collection system, follow the same methodology where people without proper instruction and education are in charge and with the lack of investment and efficiency in all parts of Venezuela we can see people who do not have water in their houses and in all parts of the country we can see garbage in the streets.

16- the internet and communications system, have been left behind due to the lack of investment and maintenance, which makes Venezuela have one of the slowest internet systems in the world, which frequently fail and today where it is used both the internet to work is a disadvantage that we have as a country from the productive perspective

17- sport is another aspect that has suffered the consequences of socialism and only those who support the government or win medals are supported by the state

18- Because they do not pay their debts, the countries do not sell merchandise to Venezuela.

19- in search of gold in the state of Bolivar, they are destroying the fauna and flora of the entire area, leaving an ecological disaster.

20- They have allocated economic resources to other countries in search of political alliances, leaving hospitals and schools in Venezuela without resources to be able to function normally.

These are some of the actions that have been carried out in the country, as part of the functioning of the socialist political system, which has brought great consequences that many already know as hyperinflation, where 14 zeros have been removed from the Venezuelan currency, I don't know if a country has removed 14 digits from its currency, which indicates the largest devaluation in history, causing a crisis that has caused almost 6 million people from the country to emigrate, especially after the 2015 protests where the military assassinated to hundreds of young university students, currently there is a shortage of gasoline and some basic necessities, and while there is a serious crisis every year we can see that fleets of luxury vehicles such as Ferraris or trucks arrive at the Venezuelan customs late-model toyotas, belonging to people who are relatives or very close to the most powerful politicians and military in the country, Chavez's speech to the pr The beginning was to say that being rich was bad and everyone around him, including his family, are millionaires, that is socialism, politicians, millionaires, a poor town and a destroyed country, even so, people continue to struggle to progress

There is a straightforward solution leave that shithole of a country and never look back or go back until that government is ousted. Unfortunately, not everyone can do just that because of family or the lack of economic mobility, but staying in that country is the same as supporting the communist party. Once you leave, you never send a cent back either. Get yourself out of there and if you have to leave family behind, sons, and wife, bring them without you as soon as possible, but get out is the most logical conclusion.
