In life we ​​are going to find sunny days and dark days, it is not a secret that problems and bad decisions are part of our lives and we must learn from those experiences so as not to make the same mistakes, but any situation that generates sadness or Annoyance will leave us with some feelings that we must work with, each action has its consequences and one of these consequences is the feeling of guilt, this kind of thought can be in our head day and night even without being able to fall asleep, but to what extent can we become obsessed by our actions and how it affects our body and our environment, we have heard the phrase do not drown in a glass of water and that is what happens many times guilt leads a person to depression or some self-destructive behavior, many people drink alcohol to try to forget something they said or did and it is surprising that a simple sincere apology could prevent live a life of alcoholism, but the human mind is something very complex and we do not always have the tools to work the consequences of a bad decision and if life is only one or as they say you only live once, it is worth spending years, decades or even a lifetime carrying on our backs the feelings of guilt for something that we could not avoid or for something that as people we were wrong, it is good to feel guilty if we make mistakes because that means that we care about the people and the actions we do and how it can affect others, but more important is being able to have emotional intelligence or seek help so that guilt does not affect our body and our life in an extreme way and the decisions we must make, and one of the problems is that when we carry our back the feeling of guilt at first does not feel so heavy, but as time goes by it is a burden that is joining our back and it becomes more difficult to remove it from our mind tea.

It is not easy to let the feeling of guilt get out of our head, but we must take care of our peace of mind, because all negative thoughts affect our physical health, so we have to give it double importance, an example that I see a lot in my country now that Mother's Day has just been celebrated, it is about Venezuelan mothers who emigrated and feel guilty for not being able to be with their children, but this is not a mistake to feel guilty, it is an act of sacrifice to be able to seek better employment opportunities that allows him to give him all the care and food and everything they need that unfortunately they cannot do here in Venezuela, if you act with a good heart and for the well-being of the family you do not have to feel guilty, soon the children will grow up and They will realize all the sacrifices that parents make so that they do not lack anything, even so it is not easy and sometimes some type of specialist help is needed to help develop new f ways to process these feelings and carry out therapies, just as we work the muscles to make them grow, we can also work the mind to make it stronger, we should not be afraid to ask for help.

A somewhat dramatic example that I could comment on, imagine that a boy asks a friend to be his girlfriend and she rejects him because she does not like the boy and this sad boy decides to take his own life, at first sight the girl could feel guilty, but the only thing he is guilty of is knowing what he wants and what he doesn't want and if he thinks about it in detail he will know that the boy's extreme decision is the product of some depressive picture and the rejection was another of many moments of sadness and how he had no kind of help I carry out the act of taking my own life, in short, first we have to know if we are to blame and second, know how to deal intelligently with these feelings.

emotional intelligence can have different interpretations but basically it is about knowing our emotions and knowing how to give them an adequate place in our heads, but speaking from a more theoretical point of view, there are four pillars 1- Awareness of yourself. recognize your emotions and the effect they have on you, 2- Self-management. ability to manage your emotions in high stress situations., 3- Empathy. recognizes and accepts the emotions of others., 4-Relationship management: ability to influence, advise and advise other people, but as they say to run we must first learn to walk and the first thing is to know our emotions and how they make us feel It is common to be unwell and feel that we have knives in our backs and pretend that everything is fine, to the point of believing that we are fine, that is why I repeat, we must not be afraid to ask for help.
