With a heart full of sorrow and a face full of tears I write this piece. The Nigerian youths are perhaps one of the largest and heaviest in terms of work force. But over the years the Nigerian youths have proven to be useless or would I call it enemies of themselves. Over the years the Nigerian youths have been exploited by the politicians due to lack of jobs and amenities which would inturn foster development and the urge to be productive. Now though the political elites have refused the Nigerian youths education, though they have refused to provide them with an enabling environment where these young men and women of substance can thrive, Nigerian youths being mindful of this still look up to these politicians as their saviour where as these politicians are the ones killing the Nigerian youths and rendering them useless, and this has been going on for a while now, now even the much talked about corruption has taken over equally the youths as the are now following the footsteps of their leaders,a case scenario is the school environment i.e the universities, polytechnics, collage of education and so on l, during the elections that goes on in these citadel of learning, that is the famous student union government popularly abbreviated (sug),during the elections of this student union government students are not usually at ease due to the series of evil being perpetuated, students who are participating even go as far as sending thugs on their opponents or perceived threat to the sug house. Now this area is one of the areas where the Nigerian youth is found wanting, the atrocities being carried out these Nigerian youths during the sug election would make one to start thinking if the youths are really prepared to take over leadership from the hands of those oppressing them. This one played out during the end "SARS" protest that brought the country to it's knees but still the Nigerian youths failed to capitalize on tht weakness of their evil leaders to take what rightfully belong to them.
Just after the screaming of "endsars" a slogen they later said it was end bad and brutal governance and equally the youths should be included in decision making in the country. Now after all these said and done just the following month another bye election was held in the country and the same youths that were shouting up and down were the ones who still went and voted In the same old men the protested against so I ask again "Nigerian youths which way"things have become so bad that the few youths we have in the country are so bad and corrupt that even some whose hands are yet to be toiled are afraid of voting into power these so called youths. Now imagine Nigerian universities have someone who is above the age of forty at its National association of Nigerian students (NANS) president.its quit funny and this alone contradicts the saying that the youths should be get involved in decision making when their very own is controlled equally by an elderly person. Now one would confidently say that the youths are not yet ready to get involved in the governance of the day. And to compound the whole thing even the ones in the universities who claim to be studying are mostly whiling away their time as all they go to do is join one group of cult or the other just to be called carried men, they equally go into fraud and then the remaining ones go about the campus wooing women here and there.
Now it's high time the Nigerian youths sat up considering what their leaders do to them on a daily, the once whose minds have been opened should sensitize those who are illiterates amongst them.sensitization is what the youths need the most now inorder to move forward.these same unsensitized elements were used as thugs to disrupt the "endsars"protest which would have brought in a revolution that would have led to the rise of a new Nigeria devoid of ethnicisim, violence, bribery, corruption and so on. But alas the government used the same youths who they deliberately left to suffer so as to use them in situations like this to perpetuate their evil agenda.
Arise ohh Nigeria youths and take your place among the youths of the world.!!!
Nigeria youth in the past has failed to fight for their right ! Over the years we have overlooked the government infringe on our fundamental human right ! Well the #endSARS movement that occurred not quite long, that is still very much alive seems to be a possible panacea to liberation of Nigeria youth from the snare of political Pharaohs! We move ! Victory is certain
