Even the closest person can be a traitor

"Son, where did you get those bruises?", Emily asked her little son Sammy pointing to his hands.

Sammy's eyes filled with tears, but he didn't reply. But suddenly he whispered, "Mommy, you are passing away soon..."

Emily was so astonished hearing this. She said, "What? No, honey!". She thought for a while and asked him why he was thinking so.

But still, the boy said nothing. She was getting tensed and again said, "Is someone hurting you?"

And she noticed that Sammy's eyes began to dart with fright as if there was some danger nearby.

She thought something was going wrong with the boy. So, alarmed Emmy came to see the teacher. She told the teacher that someone had hit her son. But the teacher completely denied it. She told Emmy that it was impossible because all the kids love Sammy.

"Then where are these bruises from?", said Emmy.

The teacher replied that maybe he just hurt himself on the playground. She then assured the mom that she would keep an eye on him. But however, the mother had a strange feeling of disaster coming. She felt as if something terrible was about to happen.

After this, Sammy could not sleep at night normally. Suddenly, he started screaming in his sleep.

Emmy could not handle this all alone. So, she wanted to share it with her husband. So, when her husband returned from the night shift, she told him everything. But he completely ignored it and said that he was a boy and forbade her to be dramatic. He added that maybe he got into a fight with someone and didn't want to tell her. Then he suggested that she need not to be worried about some bruises.

However, Emmy's anxiety was increasing. Later when she took her son to the daycare, he abruptly grabbed her hand. He said to her, "Are you going to pass away today?"

"God, baby, no! I won't leave you...", said Emmy and hugged her son.

And suddenly she turned her attention to her smartwatch. She gave it to him and told him that from then on they will always be in touch.

"You have the watch and I have my phone.", said Emmy.

The boy nodded and hugged his mom with all his might. He became happy and smiled for the first time in the week. But Emmy could not help thinking about him all day.

In the evening, when she came to pick up her son, she was petrified. There was no trace of bruises left on the boy's body.

The teacher came to her with Sammy and said, "Ma'am, I noticed bruises on your son's body yesterday, but today, someone covered them up... as if trying to hide them."

Emmy was so confused and asked the teacher who could have done it.

The teacher pointer to her and said, "I think you did..."

They didn't listen to Emmy and soon handcuffs snapped on Emmy's wrists. But she tried to say, "What does all of this mean? I don't understand..."

The police officer replied that she was accused of hurting her son.

Emmy's trial took place pretty quickly. The teacher was the first one to speak. She said that she had realized that someone was causing pain to the boy, but his mother said he fell.

Emmy was shocked by what she said. She asked her why she was lying. She also said that everything was the other way around.

The judge told Emmy to keep quiet and invited her husband. Emmy breathed a sigh of relief, but suddenly...

Her husband said that she was talking nonsense that he was fighting with boys at the daycare and he believed her. But the truth was different as the teacher said.

Emmy was distraught. It all seemed like a bad dream to her.

But suddenly, the judge called her son and said, "Who's hurting you, baby? Just point your finger at them."

Everyone in the hall gasped and the crying boy pointed to his mother. Everything was seemed to be clear to the judge and he asked Emmy if she had anything else to say.

Shocked Emmy fell silent and didn't know what to do. She lowered her head and began to pray. And then she remembered about the smartwatch her son was wearing.

She told the judge about the smartwatch that it had a voice recorder! She requested him to listen to it. She hoped that there was something there.

The judge ordered the court to comply with Emmy's request. On the recording, everyone heard the voice of Sammy's father

"You have to say that your mom is hurting you. Otherwise, she will pass away! okay?"

"Yes", frightened Sammy said.

And then there was another familiar voice, saying, "Now I will be your new mom, Sammy."

It was the teacher!

It turned out that Emmy's husband didn't want to divorce her and lose half of their property. So, together with his lover, they decided to get rid of Emmy.

He and the teacher were arrested immediately and Emmy and her son were finally safe!
