Questions of a Perfectionist

So many excuses of why people aren't getting ahead of their plan and purpose, and what their major challenges are?

"How come they havent started?"

"How their lives is going to turn out in the end?"

"What will be my ultimate legacies and contribution?"

"Will I live a good life?"

"Will I have success?"

"Will I have the wealth and influence that I need to achieve the things I want to achieve and contribute the things that I ought to contribute?."

From the perfectionist point of view they cant go ahead or complete that goal because they care about winning and not loosing. Not completing the task because I am unsure of what to do, I get distracted easily. Take control of your time, take control of your responsiblity , focus on your real passion and desires, do not stop ever in failure, be confident even in fear and failures. The most vital challenge in this case is fear, and it's the fear of getting rejected in the process.

Most of our lives choices and how we reply to them really come down to five simple questions

"Who am I going to become?"

You cant control everything but you can control your responce to them. We cant dictate who we are going to be in those circumstances of doubt. You are not moving forward because of being scared, that career cant be completed because you are scared of failing.

Scared of not doing it, distracted because of the fear of rejection or failure, it wouldn't end if you dont crush it. You keep on striving for more and more but you never get there. A little example of myself

"How do I Design my path?"

How do you want your path to success to be like? What shouldn't be taking your attention? The main thing that keeps happening to people is that they lose too many days or hours due to distraction unknowing to them perfection does not really exist without trying.

Decades gone, years of opportunities gone, so many missed opportunities to achieve your dream, to learn skills. Questions begin to stroll in after proper planning

"What is going to happen each day?"

"How do I cope with the task I have embarked on?"

"What if I cant complete this task?"

"How do I live my life if I fail these task?"

We see people who are successful today and forget that there are tears and struggle surrounding them. Always wanting a pain free success all the time by looking at the surface of people who have made it and become tralled in a circles of success. You should realise that perfection leaves no room for improvement, development and proper research works. A brief story about my a friend's uncle

He explained how He struggled to become who he is now, wasnt by luck or chance or weakness. He took bold steps towards his dreams. It all started as a young boy with no father and a mother, growing up was far from challenging. During his school days he had this bright idea of starting his own fashion and modeling business, making wears, shoes, suits with a unique brand. There was no one to support him, the only savings he had was when he served at restaurants for four years. At some point in his life he never stopped believing in his dreams, he never allowed fear or possibilities of rejection get the best of him. He had this idea within him, why dont I make it a combined business and efforts? That was his thought though, he wanted to make a living from it and also from his gains, then he involved his friends, hoping they would assist but unfortunately they didn't. He had this massive idea of taking a loan, well he had friends who tried to convince him with all these questions above, those same friend that he thought would give their very best support, he never listened to them, he never stopped, his mind was completely made up. Shortly after he bought some materials and met with a stylist and made the best of designs back then. The first few he made he sold just five. He tried to remake the design which he did he was so shocked how he sold out. Then he kept on expanding and getting a lot bigger and today he is living good, having the best times of his life. This didn't just happen immediately, it took time and courage. He started making things better and better along the way, moving from wears to shoes. Had other establishments globally.

If you are overwhelmed by rejection and discouraged by setbacks remember this story.

"Should I choose from an all or nothing perspective?."

You shouldn't always think there is going to be a little failure in what you do. An example is that you could be a singer and everytime you get the chance to sing at a big event you freak out because you may mess up or go flat or get rejected.

I will say it again the best thing about singing is also its worst. Or you try to give a speech and you get frightened if you will be laughed at because of your accent or because of a wrongly pronounced word. Or as a cleaner you feel there is always a spot that will be left untouched after cleaning. It shouldn't be this way, change the ways you reason from today.

"Do I have impractical goals and dreams?."

When you havent taken that bold step in achieving that goal, makes it impractical. You have to keep trying and never give up till you succeed, how you lay your bed is how you would lie on it. Self confidence comes in play, do you see your self in years to come doing what you have always desired. From the biblical point "nothing is too hard for God to do" most people get their confidence from studying the bible, many get it from success stories, many get it from experience. Find your inner confidence.

"Do I procrastinate all the time?"

Yes you do! Procrastination and perfectionism are inherently linked, the more you delay the start of something new you procrastinate. You always want to deliver what you have on your head to a paper the way it is.

"Can depression be one of its causes?"

Depression has so many meaning to it, you can be depressed of the fact that when you try once you give up. You allow the world scorns and mockery get the best out of you. Rome wasnt built in one day, Albert Einstein never succeeded by only trying once. You need to start thinking of 9 more ways to conquer.

In Conclusion

You keep having that feeling to always be perfect, please stop!! you can only work your way to perfection when something has already been completed.

Take ownership of your life, be okay with failing fewer times, yes I did write that!!. Be okay that it will have it flaws, you hear people say it's going to be perfect before you can begin: 'That is a big lie'. You have to try to adjust after you have started that dream, that desire, that goal, and that future.
