Haters are a part of the plan

Of course when you put your art out there, share your voice out there, try to do something big or trying new things, people are going to judge it.

That is what has been happening to you since elementary school, it shouldn't surprise you anymore, so now the job is "Deal with it better" and I know this is hard to write sometimes coz you'll say "Gozie you dont seem to understand, then I'm like I'll put something out there and people will sometimes in the comment literally say something horrible, it's because that's about them, their state of mind, their values, how they've been showing up in the world not about that post. Ultimately you just look at what you are putting out there, if you're really putting up good content and people are applying hate to that, that's because they where good people who got trapped in the hate cycle in their own lives and they are just expressing what is true to them not true to what you see doing. Once you get that it dosent upset you as much anymore.

"What happened to someone who was passionate about a music career and to get her music heard by everyone?" and guess what them haters has to say. With posting content on the internet inevitably comes the haters;

"Ear murderer"

"Why do you make every song sad?"

"Your voice is so trash, your voice is very bad"

"You cant sing"

"Am I the only one who really hates her?"

"You make the worst songs ever"

"You're totally lame"

"Quit singing you are terrible"

But all this never stopped her from pursuing her dreams.

I've developed some ways to deal with it;

Anticipate the haters

They will always be there, no matter how good you are, how successful you become, how much you donate, how well you lead, how good of a human you are, Anticipate!.

I know no matter what I put up I'm going to get judged and hated, why? Because when the nicest person you've met online said something incredibly nice online like "someone will post a picture of their cat and say "I love my cat" isnt the cat cute? And someone will say "that is the ugliest cat I've ever seen, "Arent you weird for liking cats?, arent you stupid you have nothing to post but cats?". It is like the most innocent simple things.

You show a picture of your child and people will judge you, you post videos of yourself doing what you love and people will still judge, there is no way out at this point. You must anticipate!, no matter what you are going through people are still going to judge and when you anticipate that that is real, Now you have power most especially when you expect it.

All these people who call you crazy, judge you and hate on you, why do they think they're going to be different. That is the challenge that so many people never learn their lessons from being younger that judgement always happens, and never learn to get over the fear of rejection, and the hatred and so what they carry in their adult bodies and mind is the tremendous fear.

Listen, if you dont learn to anticipate it, there is gonna be 100's of thousand of 1 star comment and 5star comments, you get a message that this changed my life and another that says "You are a piece of crap" why would you let any of these move you when you really anticipate that you are going to get it, and learn how to deal with it.

Make a decision today of how to deal with the next hater because they are coming for you and the bigger you get the more they come, the bigger you get the more horrible they become, the more they attack you privately and consistently.

And I'm not writing this to scare you, but that is going to happen just like when You start up a business, you got to pay more taxes, that dosent mean you wouldn't start, that dosent mean you don't share your art because of some haters.

Dont try to explain an Excuse or Engage Haters

Most of the time it is 'delete', get them out of there, block them from your community, the job is to protect the community. So when you got haters there block them, delete them. And you ask how you can do that?" Shouldnt you show everybody's voice?" You dont need that, we should be guardians of our community. If these people come up and do it over and over we should block them.

Be fine if you get constructive criticism "Hey Gozie have you ever thought about doing this?" I saw that you could have done it better, like those kind of things we should never delete, it is the people who are just cursing, swearing, saying the negative things. Some one venting off because of a bad day Vs someone who is engaged and trying to make the community better.

Do not Explain Yourself Just Demonstrate

Demonstrate by showing up, by staying the course, by being authentic, by not giving up, no matter what people say you still going to show up and keep doing you.

Everybody may say "Your stories are crazy and look stupid or looks boring, just keep being prolific in your own path, you become the best.

Lookup every singer or musicians, any major star or who you look up to as a leader in a big business guess what, they got a lot of hate but they didnt change themselves coz of them haters. But said "let me show who am I, by what I work each day, I never have try to explain or excuse my self in any way to a hater. Usually what I do is read their comment and I laugh and what I do is I explain and justify myself to myself."

"How am I dealing with this?"

"Am I on my own path?"

"Am I doing what's important to me?"

Not in any way that makes you fall in their trap of thinking less of yourself rather you're using as an excuse to validate exactly the fact that you are understood, maybe you are the only one that gets you, as you grow in that sphere of influence bacause haters will be there in your perimeter, that grows, your tribe grows, your community grows the people grow with you. So trust that as you demonstrate and stay disciplined to your art and your voice the community will build.

Role Models Or Good Values

The Growth message, people judge you always, from what you say, your clothes and your post but the totality of what you have done nobody gets to take that away.

As you build that community, you've built good values, even on this platform, your tribe start fighting for you, your tribe start cancelling the haters, they start fighting back for you, and explaining for you "why are ou judging this girl she's put out a year of wonderful content."

You have cajoled good messages, as you role out positivity, good values, your community or subscribers stands up for you, but you indeed stand up more for yourself. Deep down in your heart you're doing a good work.

Please don't let haters slow you down, believe in your message. Haters going to hate, and if someone hate it's because they have seen a potential in you or you are just doing it wrong, so we should also be aware and evaluate other people's voice.
