In 1945, Gen. was appointed. Douglas McArthur recaptured Palawan under operation code name Victory I and II and sent the 8th Army Regiment to the province. The local guerrilla movement, the Palawan Special Battalion 6th Military District, first led the local heroes Capt. Carlos, Maj. Pablo, along with Muyok Amores, Higinio Mendoza, Alfred and Paul Cobb, Allied Intelligence Bureau Jesus Villamor, and Headquarter SWPA Charles Person. And with the help and cooperation of several local heroes of Taytay, they successfully made their way to Fort Sta. Isabel served as a signal to end a few years of war in the Philippines and the Pacific region by the Japanese Imperialist.

Due to the importance of the history of Palawan and the country, under the new administration of the local government of Taytay, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) has already laid out its plan for the overall restoration and rehabilitation project of Fort Sta. Isabel Heritage District in the hope of taking full care of it, protecting and cherishing it for future generations.
