They said whatsoever that has a bad side also has a good side. Discontentment is bad, right? But it has a good side too!
We've heard so much sermons and teachings on contentment and we've been admonished to be contented with what we have otherwise it'd lead us engage in mischievous acts when it's being allowed to eat us up.
Well, no doubt, the best state of a man is when he has all, and he's not aiming to get more. But is there actually a human like that? Even the richest are still paving to be richer. This is because human needs are insatiable, it has no end, it keeps coming up as the day is passing.
Have you ever wondered why those rich people go into politics when they are loaded with Money already? Well, it could be that they need more money but in other hand also, it's power they are targeting at. They want to rule and be famous as well. In the quest for acquiring more, most time irregular acts are being done, such as those politicians who go to any extent to win elections. From stories I've heard, it's just few politicians that won't stain their ends with blood in terms of performing rituals or sacrifices in order to be outstanding.
We've heard and seen youths also engaging in dangerous acts because what they are seeking for is not forthcoming. They want to have it the other way, they want it quick-quick. The current situation of youths in my country is alarming. You'll see a boy of 17years driving the latest car and have a house already while a struggling young man of 27years will be having a meal once in a day in order to save money for something. When this 27years old young man hears the record of the 17years old boy, he will be disappointed at his efforts so far and he'd end up going for the source of the 17years old boy's income,,if his mind is not well cultured.
Enough of these instances as you already know them and have witnessed most of these in your environment.

This is especially for us the youth, when we are to comfortable on our recent spot, it'd be very hard to jump into advancement.
If you are comfortable Earning $100 per month, I bet you, you'll hardly be interested in applying for another job. You would see other opportunities as waste of time, after all we know the process of getting jobs in the country, you have to go for interviews in a far place if your current location is kinda far.
Contentment comes with limitations, it has capacity to block the chances of bigger success.
Earlier this month, I had a chat with a friend of mine that went for job interview in a company. She took permission from her work place to attend the interview and luckily she got the job. She said she can't be too comfortable at one spot, once there's a bigger opportunity she will move even if it'll take her out of the country. I was so much inspired by her words.
Just like if you're currently earning $200BCH per month here on read.cash, you may take it as that's your limit but the truth is that people are earning higher than you, if you decide to remain on that spot of $200BCH per month, your body will "okay" it but if you're triggered to move higher to $300BCH per month, your body will comply too.
Some years ago, I was working in a place I was earning a very small salary but they were giving us food twice a day, truthfully I felt relaxed because when I calculated the amount of food we eat a day in a month plus the normal stationed salary it's big somehow, so I decided not to move. But when I heard of a friend of mine outside my state earning a sum that covers my salary(including the money for daily feeding) and they were giving them one slot of feeding a day, I was motivated to go for the higher one. Is that greediness? No! That's going higher.
Weighing contentment and discontentment.
Under normal condition we are being encouraged to adopt a life of contentment because it comes with loads of peace, satisfaction and shun greediness. When contentment is at play, you won't fancy theft or fraudulent acts, you'll value every content in your possession. You won't be intimidated, oppressed and depressed by other people's achievement, you are just okay with what you have. Infact this is the life that God recommended according to the Bible.
But in order way round, contentment has flaws too as I stated earlier, which suggest discontentment as a solution or quest to expand in life.
My thought
Be okay with what you have but don't let that pin you on a spot, quest for more, let others people's success pushes or triggers you to go higher, it's not hatred or evil. The only part we are not permitted to follow is when there's involvement of crime or evil doings in the process.
Don't defraud, don't go into rituals, don't kill, just commit your best, be diligent and the sky will be your starting point.
