The Nigerian Police

0 4

Funny how the people vested with the responsibility of seeing that the laws of the country are properly abided to are the ones not abiding to the laws. Ironic, Right?

During this covid-19 pandemic, certain restrictions as to the amount of passengers a bus can carry was put in place. But then, you see a patrol vehicle and it is overfilled. Does it mean that all Nigerian Police officers are allergic to the virus?

That's not where my anger lies. Recently, I was going home from Igando and I saw a patrol vehicle stop right on the road(a 1 Lane road) just because the driver of the vehicle saw his friend(another policeman) and then both the driver and his friend started conversing. Not bothered about the traffic they were causing with this illegal act, they talked and laughed for about two minutes before resuming their previous activities.

Now that is so unlawful and wouldn't be tolerated if it were Civilians.

I am really curious what makes you think this is an introduce yourself post? You can try the community Freewriting instead. Good luck.

I notice the same thing over here. I guess there are only two options. They are immune (let's join the police) The danger of the virus is low ( I go for that option).

Thumb up for you you dare to write this. 👍🏻💕

This does not happen only in Nigeria. There's also this chief of police here that celebrated his birthday in the midst of quarantine period (where mass gatherings are not allowed) with more or less 50 guests

You actually hit the nail on the head..they expect we as citizens to obey the laws and rules meanwhile them at higher authorities find it difficult to do so..they break laws just because they feel that they are above the law which is not supposed to be so
