It's his turn to give his speech, he knows that because he heard his name blasting from the speakers. He's nervous but on appearance he looks calm and ready. The crowd applauds him as he makes his way to the podium.
Why is he hearing his heartbeat despite the noise of the crowd? Why can he not remember the topic of his own speech? Why are his arms sweaty and heavy? Why does he keep looking at his shoes?
He snaps back to reality and sees over a thousand people waiting to hear from him. He looks to his left and sees his parents and siblings and to his Right his friends, all with their thumbs up.
And in that fleeting moment he says to himself, it's now or never. You either make a name or Mar your name. And then suddenly he remembers his reason for being on the podium, remembers not only the topic but the whole damned speech.
His arms ain't sweaty anymore and his heart beats are regularised. He takes one more look at the crowd and then drops his bombshell.
Then he takes one last look at the crowd and then gives a bow.
Not only was he applauded this time, he was also given a standing ovation.
"You never now how strong you are until being strong the only choice you have" :)
