As Christians, Must We Support Sunday School?

Good morning and happy Sunday to us all. I hope we slept well and woke up in good health? I believe we did, and may the good Lord continually keep us strong and safe in the Bossom of His Hands. I'm aware that the last article looked interesting, well here is another one we can discuss about too. I hope we have heard about 'sunday school' before?

So what is SUNDAY SCHOOL?

Getjar.com

This is a small school dedicated to teach children the word of God on Sundays. Instead of allowing these children in the main church which they may disturb with noise, shouts, laughter or even cry, they should be brought to Sunday school so that they can be properly trained in the way of the Lord. So I hope that by now we know what Sunday school means.

But in recent times, I have noticed that alot of parents do prevent their children from going for Sunday school classes. And the question is why? Who knows? Many guardians don't allow their children into the Sunday school. They only keep them in the main church with them which is totally wrong because that child won't learn anything staying there.

The child will end up enjoying the praises but he or she will not learn anything in the sermon being preached that day which isn't good. Children ought to start learning the ways of the Lord even from their tender age. It shouldn't be when they grow up. The Bible says "...train up a child in the way of the Lord so that when he grows he will not depart from it..."

...so that will not depart from it..." That's a powerful statement. It means a lot. The statement means that if we don't train our children in the way of Lord, when they become of age, they will depart from it because it will seem like something new or different to them. But if we groom them deeply in the WORD, they will continually follow that righteous path which the Lord had made for them.

We shouldn't forget so easily that children are the leaders of tomorrow. Yes they are! The old ones won't be in power for long, they will die one day and young people will take over power and they can only give out what they took in while growing up as a child. My last article talked about Christian leadership with Joshua as a focus point. Leadership isn't something you wake up one day to declare. Leaders are built over time.

And one way to build Godly leaders is through Sunday school. Here, these children and taught the undiluted word of the most High and are trained to flee from evil and embrace light. So why do some parents or guardians prevent their children from joining this movement. This is something that has an implication in the children's future but many cannot see it as so now.

The truth is that you can only give out what you take. So the question is what are the children taking? What do they consume spiritually? And even physically? All these things grow with them and one day they will burst out in their lives. This is why we must groom our children properly thereby avoiding costly mistakes and preserving their golden future which God has planned for them.

So please let's advise all parents and guidances to allow their children to attend Sunday school for the betterment of their children and the nearest future. It is well with our future. It is well with our children. May the good Lord bless us and keep us safe in the Bossom of His Hands. See you in my next article.

Shalom.

My children do attend Sunday school. It's a nice program for them after all. If your children are not there, I'll say you're a way wrong. Do what is right

Though, I don't mean going to school on Sunday. I think that's what you think I meant. But Sunday school is just 2-3 hours teaching of Christ to children alone on Sunday.

Thanks for sharing this here. Alot of parents deprive their children of this and when they end up as nuisance, they blame the society instead of taking the blame. It's well

Well..not all parents will understand it. Some of them grew up in the village so you can't blame them. With time, they will be able to see what we are saying. ,#staysafe

Sunday schools are good though some teachers don't treat children so right. I love the Sunday school because it helps the children to be built well before deeply entering into the society
