¶GodisWithUs
Remember Elisha, the Prophet in Israel that was hunted by the King of Syria? Something happened to his servant, which inspired this article.
The Prophet Elisha became most wanted by the Syrian King, because he revealed the military plot of his armies to the King of Israel, when they were at war.
¶Let's Get Elisha!
The King resought to abduct Elisha. So, he sent his troops to fetch him. The fully armed troops arrived at Dothan, the location of their target. They surrounded the entire locale.
¶Master We Are Finished!
Early in the morning, the servant of the Prophet, Gehazi realised as he made a peep through the door, that they were surrounded by soldiers, with horses and spears, and bows, waiting to strike.
Let's assume the servant may have thought, 'It's my master they want, so I'm spared'. But may be he loved his master, and so he was concerned. Or most likely, he thought, 'They'll kill me too! 'So, he cried out, 'Master,we are finished! What shall we do?'
¶Are You surrounded?
Are you encompassed? Are you surrounded by fear, uncertainty, troubles, unpaid bills, or your enemies who have sworn to see your end. Or a loved one you is in this situation? Surrounded by thick darkness or death? Here is
goodnews! Your troubles are also surrounded by the troops of God. God's protection builds around you—a superior wall. Rest assured of God's divine presence. The Prophet prayed that God should open the eyes of Gehazi.
¶Fear Not
It is normal to fear when all you could see is negative, trouble, attack, incompetence, inabilities, enemies. Fear then becomes the wall to lean. But you can arise from the wrecking boat of fear and stand on the solid grounds of God'sprotection. This happens when you can see the provision available in God for you. Until the servant saw the Angels and chariots of fire surrounding them in defense against the Syrian troop, he was afraid. That is why as a Believer, you need to step up your vision. See what God has done and what he is doing, instead of only seeing what the devil has done.
¶Step Up Your Vision
In this case, Elisha prayed, and asked God to open the eyes of this young man. Then he saw what was in the spirit.
You may not have anyone to say that prayer over you now, but you can say the prayer for yourself. You can pray for God to open your eyes to see what he has done. When you see what God has done, it is possible to be at ease, trusting in his faithfulness. But if all you could see is what the devil has done, then you will fret and even run before the devil strikes.
But when you know that you are protected, you are calm in the midst of the storm. They that know their God shall be strong and do exploit! How will you know? You have to see. How will you see? Pray. Seek revelation in prayer. And see things from God's perspective. Then God will open your eyes. God bless you.
