Sometimes, we abide in our memories (the past) as much as we do in our imaginations(the future). The implication of this is that our reality (the present) suffers. We ignore the beauty that surrounds us while paying attention to "what it used to be like"; or "what it should be like"; or "what it will be like".
Inadvertently, time keeps ticking while we anticipate the morrow; and ironically, when the morrow comes, we begin to wish for a reversion of time. It seems the present only makes sense when it becomes our past; and when that happens, we begin to think of 1000 ways we would have done it right.
Acknowledging that our tomorrow is determined by our today; and our today is a product of our yesterday; I however, do not think we intend to get to the end of the Journey only to realize that the treasures we sought were embedded in the Present; and while pursuing the Future, we had lost every single bit of it.
Thus, here's a cue;
1. LIVE IN THE NOW.
2. Be an epitome of love to those who surround you.
3. Learn to appreciate the serenity of nature.
4. Prioritize joy and inner peace; and embrace forgiveness.
5. Choose neither to hide in the past; not be buried in the future.
While the past blesses with memories as well as a template to review; the future is an anticipated occurrence (a clean slate). However, the Present is all we have--make the most of it.
Shine brighter!
