Theme: Have Goals
Basic Scripture: Philippians 3:13-14
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Welcome to today’s devotional! Every purposeless life is a life full of distractions and destruction. Life without a goal is meaningless. You cannot get the best of life without having a goal and pressing to achieve that goal. If you don’t have a mark for your life, anywhere will be good for you. If you don’t set a goal for your life you will be comfortable at any point in your life.
Paul speaking in today’s scripture says he has a mark that he presses to attain. He kept setting new marks as he went forward. He had a goal for his life. He lived a purposeful life. He didn’t follow anything that came his way. He had his own goals and day and night he pursued to attain them.
Learn from Paul. Have goals for your life. Live with a sense of mission in this world. Don’t live like you don’t have a purpose. Set targets you must reach each day, each week, each month, and even the whole year. And commit yourself to achieve them at all cost. Don’t waste your precious destiny. Have a goal. Pray Now

3. I refuse to live without a sense of mission. Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me to set goals and to press hard to achieve them this year.
