Vitamins are essential nutrients that enable your body to function properly and stay healthy. This is to say, vitamins are the essential and small amount of organic chemicals present in the food to increase the immunity of the body including proper nutrition, growth, maintenance and other functions.
So we can say that vitamins are the nutrients that our body needs for activity and disease resistance. Our body cannot make vitamins, so we get vitamins through eating a variety of foods. There are about 13 vitamins, and they are classified as micronutrients because we only need a small amount, usually milligrams or micrograms, every day.
Here are some important vitamin information :
Vitamin A:
Vitamin A is very beneficial for our body, it is important for good eyesight and enhanced immunity. Moreover, it helps in healthy skin, maintenance of various organs, healthy growth of muscle tissues and a healthy reproductive system. Vitamin A is commonly found in eggs, fish and various dairy products. Vitamin A is also important for your teeth, bones, skin, reproduction and healthy immune system.
Vitamin C:
Vitamin C is an essential vitamin and important for your body. It acts as an antioxidant i.e. can prevent cell damage and reduce the risk of certain cancers, heart diseases. In addition, vitamin C is important for healing wounds and helping your body absorb iron. Vitamin C is found in citrus fruits and many vegetables such as tomatoes, potatoes, spinach, melons, berries, peppers, broccoli, etc.
Vitamin D:
Vitamin D you can get from sunlight, aids in calcium absorption and builds and maintains strong bones and teeth. You can get vitamin D from fish, dairy foods such as egg yolks, fatty fish, fish-liver oil yogurt, cheese and milk and fish oil etc.
Vitamin E:
Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant in your body. In addition to maintaining muscle and red blood cells, it also helps the body to better defend against disease. Vitamin E is commonly found in wheat, nuts, oil, corn etc.
Which foods have which vitamins?
Vitamins are called nutrients. The functions of essential vitamins and their sources are given below.
1.Vitamin A
Very good for eyes, hair and skin.
There are some foods that contain vitamin A
Milk, carrots, sweet potatoes, sweet pumpkins, mangoes, red spinach, all kind of green vegetables, cod liver oil, liver, spinach, eggs, papaya, peas etc.
2.Vitamin B
Helps to keep the digestion process right. Very beneficial for the skin.

Fish, any kind of seafood, meat, grains, eggs, dairy products, and green vegetables etc.
3.Vitamin C.
Helps to keep various tissues of the body well. Helps to speed up the healing process of the body. Increase immunity.

4.Vitamin D.
Essential for the formation of teeth and bones. Very useful for strengthening teeth and bones. It also helps the body absorb calcium.

5.Vitamin E.

Thus, Vitamin is a very essential nutrient for our body which is able to perform important functions like building and maintaining bones, teeth, muscles, skin, blood and hair in our body and making our brain, eyes, nervous and immune system work better.
