Better to do It at all times than just go one day

We all have faced this predicament, one day you decide you will go to the gym and follow your workout routine to perfection, even to the point of being more intense than usual. Then, the next day you feel yourself with less energy, all sore and in the same shape. All this will make you question yourself whether you're good enough to perform something in a professional way, thus leaving It and just resorting to your baseline behavior, complaining about why you're not advancing how you would want to. Then, in other occasions, we are much more focused and enjoy the process in a genuine way, not caring about how you'll look the next day or If what you do will be consistently perfect, just paying attention to the factors that make something good enough and funny enough to keep performing them consistantly. It is in this article that I compare these two ways of seeing progress in a particular field, talking about many situations and how they might be interpreted through both lenses, making obvious which one is the best. Let's begin:

Going to work

Maybe you want a promotion in your current job, so you begin to work hard for maybe a week or two in hopes that your boss notices that you're doing It. However, after that period of time you find that the boss has not payed attention to you at all, so you go back to working in a regular way or even worse, decreasing your levels of productivity which will surely be noticed by him/her and will make you more disposable. However, Let's say that you decide to work a little bit harder, maybe 5% or 10% for a sustained period of time, making the right decisions and habits in a subtle though incremental way. Making at the end of the day a better impression in your boss as you'll have increased your productivity in a more permanent way.

Making an assignment:

Let's say now that you have a project to present in a fair, so you have two options: In the first one, you take maybe 1 or 2 weeks to begin, where you perform at the highest level you can and make the most advance by going from 10-12 hours of daily and intense work, searching for information and passing through different prototypes, however, after this initial period of time passes, you will be burnt out and will surely experience a notable decrement in productivity, now just focusing in little things for the sake of working. If you take a subtle though incremental approach to work, like dedicating little slots of time throughout the day to different activities related to the completion of what you want to achieve, you'll find the progress much more rewarding and smoother, making for a better experience and project.

Diet/Workout:

As I've explained before, when you try to dedicate yourself to a diet that will make you skinnier or fitter, you can either try to stick to the most strict of them, where you private yourself from a lot of things you enjoy and just go straight up to the types of foods that will make you lose the greatest amount of weight. Then, you try to go along with this for maybe some weeks before throwing the towel, going back to your old alimentary habits. Now, If you just step back a little and don't try to starve yourself to death or just eat something tasteless, though dedicate yourself consitently to the meals that you'll enjoy and at the same time will be good for you, you'll find that those abs will show themselves in a more satisfactory way through linear progress.

What I'm trying to say is that If you try to dedicate yourself strictly to something thinking that you'll be able to perform the routine of a professional straight up, you surely will find yourself with a lot of disappointments, making up for a lot of reasons as to why you might leave It. However, If you commit to negotiating with your best friend and worst enemy at the same time, yourself, through something that is good for you and at the same time has some sacrifice in It for something benefitial, you'll be much more prone to do It. I hope that with all this you can see why practicing little though constant steps can be the best option for you. Thank you for your support and good luck!

Most times at work , seeing an employee work her self out just to get promoted is an high level of presence and should be frown at.. What if we don't get what we want, so we will return to our future base!
