To all my friends from the Philippines, specially the nurses, I just wanted to let you know this rancher from Texas is the granddaughter of a doctor who served as medical director for the Manila Sanatorium and Hospital. He also, later, worked at a hospital on Mindenau. So, here's a shout-out to our possible shared history.

Our country and the families of those who were under the care of your grandfather are grateful for his humanitarian service. And if I may just make a slight correction - it was the Manila Sanitarium and Hospital and Mindanao, in southern Philippines. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you for the corrections. If anyone is interested his name is Dr. Willis G. Dick, M.D.
His wife, my grandmother, was Eleanor Dick. She worked as a nurse.
Both were deployed in Philippine hospitals?
Whoa! Hope you can also visit Philippines Jonica ♡
Some day! I hope so.
Yes. At least I think she also worked. They were Seventh Day Adventist missionaries.
