This is entitled The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and it has a lot of life changing lessons, we can relate to it even if don't have cancer. It teaches that might change our perspective in life and as a young adult it will help us grow. I will share with you the few lessons that I learned. "That's the thing about pain, it demands to be felt." I realized in that line that the pain has two purpose to us. The first one is the pain makes us weak and vulnerable through to that it causes us to stop and it feels like it the end of the world. Also, it loses our hope and faith. Second, pain gives us the strength to move forward and keep going in life. No matter how painful it is we will get up when we fall. For example, this time of pandemic we are all in pain, some of our relatives has tested positive (lucky there's is none in my relatives) and we are in pain because some of us can't work and provide for their own family. But as an individual, I will always to be positive that one day everything will be fine and everything will go back to normal. There will be some circumstances that will bring us pain. Pain comes in our life unexpectedly and it taught me that the pain is prior in each and every one of us to learn a lesson. Now, it will depends on the person how to deal the pain if they will stop or they will keep moving forward. Moreover, my second realization was the parents love is incomparable. They are always in our sides, when times of trouble and pain. When we are happy and sad. They never leave us, they are always there to guide us and teach us. Give us some pieces of advice when we needed it. Always support us to achieve our dreams. Also, they are times that they don't get enough sleeps because they are busy taking good care of us especially when we are sick. They will do anything for us, they will sacrifice everything they have just to give us a comfortable life. Nothing can compare the love of a parent to its child. Their love is unconditional and never-ending.
The third realization, "If you want the rainbow, you have to deal with rain." The illustration was the rainbow is something good or something that makes us happy. While the rain is something bad or something that makes us sad. We have to under go to challenging thing in order to get the positive outcome of the challenge. Basically, it tells us that we need to make efforts and that could be hard, challenging and something it is unpleasant to achieve but once we get through that we will get the good results we want and all the hardship we do will be paid off. The last realization was something connected to the previous one. "The world is not a wish granting factory." I learned that we can't always get what we want or want to be. Sometimes we think that the word is unfair and blame God because we can't get what we want. Come to think of it, if God allow the world to be a wish granting factory. The result will be possibly most of us will no longer work for the things that we want. We always wish and wish and do nothing. Maybe, that's the reason why the world is a wish granting factory. Our God wants us to work for our own wishes, so when we get it because we earned and we work hard for it. In the end, if we don't be able to get it maybe because someone deserved it more or we will get something better that what we wish for.
The life and Hazel and Augustus teaches me to be strong, to be optimistic and always show your love to the people you love because life is short, we don't know what age or time we will die. This pandemic, gives us a chance to bound to our love ones. This is the best time to make fun with, this is the time to show our love to them, this time to eat the meals with them and this the time to reconcile with them because if everything will go back to normal, maybe we will don't have the time to do that because we will become busy again in our personal stuffs. We must cherish every moment we have with them until we have time.
