Legend has it that on October 26, 1961, Ivo Andrić went on one of his usual daily walks. However, when he approached the apartment on the current "Andrićev venac", he noticed a large number of people waiting for him. Because, on that day, while he was walking unhindered from the apartment to Kalemegdan and back, all the media reported that he, IVO ANDRIĆ, was the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature.
