A village market generally sits by the side of a canal or by the side of a road. Some markets sit under a big Banyan tree. Many village market sits by the riverside. Big markets sit daily. Small markets sit once or twice a week.
There are two kinds of markets in Bangladesh. They are 'Bazaar' and Hat'. Daily market is called Bazaar. It sits every morning and continues throughout the day. The weekly market is called 'Hat'. It is held once or twice a week. It sits at afternoon and breaks up after sunset. There is a huge gathering in the hat.
