Outstanding leaders thirst for wisdom.
Good day guys, how are you doing? I hope you're enjoying your weekend. I am enjoying mine here. Anyways, let's quickly review yesterday's article.
Different leaders come with different characters and perspective. Some of them are very vocal and demanding, while some others are not and while some other leaders lead by example. But one thing every that is common is that they all make others feel valued.
It is very possible for people to leave their jobs because they feel unvalued or undervalued. They may feel that they're not appreciated for the work they do, or they may feel like their voice is not heard. And this is where the outstanding leaders separates from the others. They understand and never forget that the greatest emotional need of people is to feel valued and appreciated. And they endeavor that they do their part so that everyone they work with, whether great or little knows that he's important and appreciated.
When people feel that they're valued, they will be encouraged to be engaged and be more productive at work. They will also be loyal to the company and even go to the extent of recommending the company to others.
It will remain true that people don't actually leave companies, what happens is that they leave bosses. And one of the popular reasons people do is that they don't feel valued as they should be valued.
An outstanding leader ensures that she values every one on her team. She never forget to satisfy the emotional need of people which is to feel appreciated. And she makes sure that she values every one in such a way that they know without doubt that they're valued.
Whenever you succeed in making others feel valued, be rest assured that you've created a connection and loyalty that will keep them with you for as long as they continue to be valued.
