Serious talks: Social concerns
Ha! Everyone is frantic. From the fleeting prices from fare to basic commodities, everyone is really concerned about what will become in the next few. While many pray, as we prayed through COVID and come up alright. So, world recession, how’s it triggered?
It has a domino effect that scares a lot of people. Of course, the price hike concerns are real because we have students and have to give them their allowances, unlike COVID, everyone is at home so we basically were able to cut expenses in just about everything. Especially in going to school and allowances. Now, we are faced with budget constraints that our salaries have not increased just one bit, our sidelines, like writing here is as we all know…
Everybody is trying to figure out the know-how. Others really stressed and got into depression. While others, I don’t really know how they cope. Many still pray in this part of the world including me, so it has really become a coping mechanism. Solutions will be revealed in time but the question is the stress on the mind that the mind cannot stop thinking. Repeating every time, every payday as we all are short amidst the expenses. Horrified because ‘face-to-face’ is real and it incurs expenses.
I can only imagine if I am having a hard time when I am enjoying full-time work with an average salary, how about those with none? I pity myself most time but how about those relying on daily job orders? The jeepney drivers are luckier though they are the ones who are directly hit by the oil price hikes. Lucky in the sense, that their occupation is really in demand. Riding public vs available transportation is overwhelming for the drivers even in this early phase of ‘face-to-face’ implementation. Though economy will be very interactive but I only wander about the dynamics in the next month.

Grabe bilis maubos ng pera ngayon mabarya lang. Ang income namin per month kinukulang na.
