Life: How much Grind does it take to make it through…

Money really does work in so many ways… To celebrate occasions and able to invite a lot of guests with sumptuous foods and end up alone after the celebration. A wedding reception of our liking that feels magical all through the day and the next weeks, months, or years, faced with the horror of unfaithfulness. Mansions build on expensive stones only to crumble with an earthquake strikes. Assets disappear in the wink of an eye because the market is bad?

So, how much grinding do we need to ever be satisfied? Until one day our bodies fail us? Not minding that all the hard work and grinding will end up losing our health… a sacrifice worth taking?

Or say… box out a colleague to get the promotion we ever wanted?! For a career climb? Stab each other at the back for such a step away to become the next boss? Not the next boss perhaps, but the attention we ever dreamed of? Or for the recognition we never had?! Lolz… Grind for the material things we craved for? And at the same time, recognition? Fame and attention? To be regarded as the best of the flock? Hmm…

Well, the only reason I grind is… to earn money. Nothing more. The next I just realized was to grind more to earn gems on roblox games… hihihi! Seriously because I definitely don’t want to spend a dime buying robux, it’s expensive! I need money okay! Who doesn’t? Money to buy food, shelter, pay bills and the basic necessities and some foolish caprices, alongside my kids. Nothing much. I am not in a need of a mansion for a house, I am just in a need of a bahay-kubo for one because it’s refreshing to sleep on. Simple, yet comfy and not expensive. If to have a car, nothing luxury, a jeep will do – the old type used during WWII. It’s not expensive and gasoline wise – for our joy ride on a weekend, if possible.

Okay… I’d worked hard during school days… not from being on the honor list to top lists but working at home… Didn’t work nor aimed for scholarships, especially for academe because I had to be home and help mama to earn our daily needs by cooking for her orders. I missed this part. Perhaps, if I applied for scholarships but couldn’t take a blind eye and not help mama with the chores. Getting a scholarship even an academic was something I couldn’t because it would mean, mama had no help for her orders. I didn’t work hard at school, I worked hard at home to assist my mom.

Many say were are at the END TIME? So, really… the REVELATION, read it? It’s horrific. Ever wonder what happens when tomorrow one of the predictions happened, the greatest EARTHQUAKE is to unfold… Well, the 2013 earthquake in BOHOL was a shake I couldn’t forget. I just gave birth and it was a hell of a shake. So what happens to everything we ground for? Our beautiful house, our reputation, a million likes, subscriptions and so much more… in the end, what we do need at these times are the basics: food, water, medicines, shelter, blankets, and all the necessities to survive. Well, these are just the immediate things we need. The next should be money for exchange but can we still withdraw our money from the banks? Hmm, I don’t think the internet will be freely accessible at this point.

Just thinking. We will be celebrating ODETTE's passage coming December. It's something many people are thinking over this holiday season and are still afraid of. Thanks for the read. God bless.
