Human dilemma
Chest tight…Went home after staying at the hospital. Days went by doing nothing but sleep and eat waiting for the results and all ended up with nothing but hypertensive cardiovascular disease! Though relieved but could at least for the time being, all was well.
Hospital
Nothing has changed since, only to include covid 19 protocols as this is already in place. Practically the medical attendees are there to help people in desperate situations but oftentimes failed due to health care services being either bad or incompetent.
Hospitals used to be thought of as a place to go to as comfort for ailments and diseases. But it’s thought differently now, moreover as the disparity between rich and poor has deliberately widened and only a matter of time when people who cannot really afford health care services will have nowhere to go!
For relief, the 4-day stay spent about 50K all charged to insurance just to make a definite diagnosis. Sad, so what if insurance fails? No treatment will be available because the patient is unable to pay?
Sad as I watch a mother with her infant walk away from ER care because the attending said, “you will be attended to but no assurance that the insurance will pay for all, so in case, the patient will have to pay for all the services.” She walked away with her infant because her husband was to arrive and money was not enough to pay for the services.
Going home…
We spent the last remaining hours of the afternoon, strolling home. Ate said it’s good for the heart but I am still weak since it’s been days that I was lying all day doing nothing but wait.
I am glad I am going home. Home sweet home! Didn’t shower all those day because I have no one with me and have to bear the fishy me! Finally, shower all the way… washing away all the worries and anxieties.
People get to live every day that everything is okay. But the sad truth is that like all machines, our body deteriorates, whether we like it or it. Even if we take care of it every day, shower, eat, exercise; name it and you’ve done it all.
But all our worries and anxiety double when we are looking out for someone else. We strive to better ourselves to be able to provide for the ones we love. But sometimes effort is almost reduced to meaninglessness like that mother at the ER, who went there to seek medication but only in vain.
Amidst all these, I can only hope people will have increasing care and awareness for the destitute. After all, we are all people trying to get by as we can. No one else will give a damn but we humans.
What? We are back to the ancient times when “survival of the fittest?”. The affluent remain affluent while the poor remain poor? How unfortunate.
Thank you everyone for your time. God bless.

There is a lot of activities that we could do at house so do not think that it is the worst place to stay.
