John 5:14 - Jesus Heals a Lame Man

14 But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, “Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.”

LENT. I have flooded my FB page with passages and some messages that had either solicited enemies or converts. LOLZ. I'm not back because Rusty is back. I'm back because this is the easiest way of writing vs writing on my phone, it's painstaking doing the writing on the phone. So, decided to compose and publish it here, then copy/paste on my FB page! hahaha!

Yes, healing comes with a price. "Sin no more, or something even worse may happen to you". Let me continue this series of message that being a christian is a continuous process and is not a one-day event. The moment you believe in Jesus, it is, sorry but a painstaking task of reformation. PAINSTAKING, why? You have to be diligent in the course of transforming your heart and soul to abide God's will. Then you have to make it a point that you made yourself available to talk to HIM, everyday! How does transformation takes place when you are always away from HIM? Ayt? Not just in prayers but you have to read His word so your heart and soul will be nourished. Like we take our meal diligently, else we will be malnourished. Right?

Where else would you find God but in His word, the Bible. Reading novels like Sidney Sheldon's wont help you gain advantage against temptation? Or the worldly writings , not of authorship of God...

"Eph. 6. [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

How else do we expect ourselves to overcome the FLESHY or worldly desires of the heart when we were barely equipped? Of course, again, reading His word equips us. How else will we be guided? For this reason, there came the SCRIPTURE and yet unutilized? Aha! We let the Bible seat on the altar without touching it when it was supposed or designed to be touch everyday until it is rotten. Keeping His word sacred by reading it everyday, mutilating the pages as it will serve its purpose. What purpose a book is so if not read? hmmm....

Ephesians 6:10-11

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

How can we stand against evil schemes when all we do is... How can we stand strong? We know what we do everyday. Our daily routine, does it include spending time with Him? Talk/communicate with Him, for just a minute or so? When He is only calling for us to spend a minute or two, saying a very fast prayer… and in time, we can call upon Him all day long! Well, that’s when we have our hearts transformed by His grace. Only by then, spending a little time with Him everyday… A minute today, tomorrow 2… increasingly? Perhaps, slowly but surely… yup! That’s how it is… That’s how it works. Well, He has almost like a beggar, asking a little of our time – all this time. Aren’t we heeding the call? Spending this little time is a start, then repentance in on going. God Bless.
