Stories In Pictures: Part II

If not playing the keyboard, one thing I'm also fond of doing is checking Twitter and interpreting some stories behind the pictures. I have followed an account on this platform and somehow it gives me the leisure that I need.

Here are some of them that I'll share my thoughts with you again:

Friendship beyond color

Racism plays a big part in social discrimination in the world. It became a big factor in why there is chaos. It became a culture that is being passed from generation to generation.

I have seen classic movies about racism. Although it is fiction, I truly admired the work of Harper Lee for the novel "To Kill A Mockingbird". There was a movie adaptation to the novel and it was released around the 1960s.

It is a story about a lawyer who defends a black man who is accused of raping a white woman. The journey embarks also on how colored people were treated during the Depression Era.

As seen in the photo, the babies are too innocent to befriend each other. They do not know what racism is, where they should stand for, they're not aware of what boundaries they should take. There is humanity.

As we grow up, external forces create big impacts on the character development of a person. I would say that racism is created by people. To be fair, there are also white people experiencing racism and vice versa.

Do you think this is something that we'll just accept forever that will always exist or there's still a chance of getting rid of racial and gender discrimination?

Losing the chance to success

Sometimes, we fail because we lacked effort. We fail because we are not focused enough to reach our goals. We fail because we found temporary comforts in something by which, we don't know we are wasting the opportunity towards our success.

The journey may be stormy, but as they say, there's a rainbow always after the rain. We shouldn't give up on our aspirations. We may not feel progress at all but the journey itself is what prepares you for the bigger battles ahead.

At least, give these battles ahead a good fight. You may be distracted, find temporary comfort to someone or something, but you should get back on your feet and find your way back to that ladder and climb again.

Unity not found

In times of obstacles, we are generally tested with our perseverance. Apart from that, generally speaking for everyone, we are also tested with unity and cooperation.

No man is an island, as the famous quotation says.

Human beings rely on each other whatever happens. As you can see in the photo, people are busy building their own boats from the boat they all come from.

Isn't it ironic to think that we are supposed to help one another in times of big storms? If we fight it together, we'll all get through it. The bigger the boat is, the more chances of survival. Instead of making individual, tiny boats for every man.

All for one, one for all.

The new generation of social interaction

When the internet became famous around the 2010s, it hasn't eaten the systems of the people yet. I mean, people were not likely too consumed by it. Probably because smartphones are not yet introduced and if there were, it's super expensive.

Finally, when smartphones got known to the public years after, people were too excited for it. I, for one, got curious too and wanted to have one so badly. It has become a new means of communication as it improves and updates day by day.

However, when the pandemic started, there's no doubt why our phones have become our handcuffs each day. I'm guilty of that, I have to admit.

Kids, in this generation, are born as if they know how everything works on the phone. They're techy. And so the personal interaction is slowly fading even at the parks, people are too busy looking at their phones doing their businesses.

Well, that's reality.

Beauty is about how you see yourself.

Beauty does not really tell how a person looks like instead, it translates to how you interact with people and do good to them.

Choosing to be happy is the hardest thing to do especially if you can't seem to find a reason for it. Then again, it is still a choice. Whatever circumstance that is, your happiness relies on how you treat every situation as an opportunity to become better or be stuck forever.

' No man is an island ' no matter how many times we say that we always prefer to be alone, we always end up looking for someone's presence and comfort.

Friendship knows no color, nationality, race and social level, friendship knows no age and gender, friendship knows no distance . Racism is never the way

For we to go far and achieve more unity like this popular saying “a tree can't make a forest" different trees come together to make a forest. That is we all have to come together as one to achieve more

I agree with you. Racism is never the way. Friendship knows no boundaries, as you said. ❤

Racism has become an ever-growing problem. It's disgusting that people are weighing others by skin, hair, eyes or other limbs, race. Fortunately, there is a majority that raises its voice when necessary against such negativities.

At least people are slowly recognizing what racism is and as much as we can, not encouraged to do it. 😬
