Plot
After a young man is murdered, his spirit stays behind to warn his lover of impending danger, with the help of a reluctant psychic.
Sam Wheat is an investment counselor who has a lover named Molly Jensen who owns a small pottery business. They love each other so much but Molly never heard of Sam telling her 'I love you' instead he only says 'ditto' an Italian word saying 'too'. One night, they went out on a date. Upon heading home, someone grabbed Sam's wallet. It led to a fight and Sam was murdered.
Sam soon discovers that it was his colleague Carl who ordered the supposed assault turned-out-to-a-murder. Upon learning the truth, feeling betrayed, he then guides Molly every now and then. He has to find a way to send a message to Molly about the danger Carl has planned.
Sam came across a self-proclaimed scammer psychic named Oda Mae Brown who only hears what Sam says. Through her, Sam can communicate with Molly but Molly doesn't believe the situation since she thinks it's absurd. Sam has to tell Oda Mae everything he knows about the personal details of them with Molly.
Soon, Molly was able to communicate with Sam through Oda Mae's body. On the other hand, Carl still plans to cover the investment scheme he established that Sam was supposed to report. However, Sam worked his mind and managed to touch things that he used to take revenge for Carl.
Molly finally saw Sam's spirit upon ascending to heaven. They bid goodbyes and that's how the movie ended.
Review:
Ghost certainly offers more than just romance, comedy, and thriller. It also teaches you life lessons like how you value your time with your loved ones because tomorrow is not promised. It also shows how you should work hard in everything that you do. Just believe that you can.
P.S
I believe it is during this era where Unchained Melody by Air Supply took off its fame.
