Do you want to let your favorite niece or your kid have netflix access with your account so she can watch too but she's far and you can't log in your account in her device yourself? There's no other way but to give her your log in details OR buy her a subscription of her own. But you have a premium account and can't afford (or just won't) to buy another subscription. There's a way to be safe even when you give her your log in details. But of course, mind that you should NEVER give out your details to someone you don't trust with your life. Never give out informations. Giving out your login details put your account at risk. So be very very very extra super duper careful.

What happens if you want to upgrade or downgrade your subscription? What happens when your account is put on hold and why? Why can't you view some shows that you're certain are in Netflix's list.

In this post, I will share with you tips in using Netflix and be more satisfied with your subscription. Here, I will show you some facts and tips about how Netflix works and answer to some of the most asked questions about Netflix.

Share your netflix account (only to trusted person like kids, close relative, or a family member) *again! share only to trusted person. this is risky! share at your own risk!

-Change your password first to something you can share with them. something that's different to your original password. Then after she logs in your account, change the password to your original password and uncheck the option'Require all devices to sign in again with new password'. This will let them still have access and watch videos but they cannot log out or log in the account to another device. They are also not allowed to update the app as it will log them out and have to ask you again for the password. They can still view the 'accounts' page but they can't do anything cause they will be required to put a password which you already changed. Safe, yes... Safest, no. Cause if you have given a permission to someone you don't trust and changed the password before you do, you're screwed.

-Create a different profile for them and have your own profile be passcode protected. This way they can't access the main profile of the account. It's also better if you put a passcode to their profile before you change the password of the account. So they can't change it and lock you out in their profile. (Profile is different from username. profiles are used to differentiate which person is viewing)

Just like you have the power to cancel your subscription anytime, you also have the option to upgrade or downgrade your subscription anytime you want.

When you upgrade your subscription, it will automatically be upgraded and you can enjoy the new benefits immediately, while you will be billed with the new subscription in the next billing date. You can see when in your account page.

When you downgrade, you will still enjoy the benefits of your current subscription and the downgrade will take effect on your next billing date with the new subscription billed. You can see when in accounts page.

So basically, when you upgrade, you will immediately enjoy your new upgrade features and be billed with it on the next billing date. Sounds fun? 😁

And when you downgrade, it will only take effect (viewing features and new bill) on the next billing date.

Now, let's talk about your account being on hold for payment reasons. Let's say you're using a prepaid card with your Netflix or you're using Gcash (for Philippines) as your payment method. NetFlix automatically deducts payments. So when your card or gcash doesn't have a balance, Netflix will notify you that the payment has issues and that your account is on hold.

Good thing is, you still have one week to watch in NetFlix when your account is on hold. After that, you will be logged out and will be asked to set up your payment details again.. When you updated your payment within 6 months, you will still log in your details and your lists and profile will still be there. After 6 months, your lists, history and profiles will be erased and it will look like a new account.

There are a lot of movies and tv shows Netflix offers. But unfortunately, you can't have access to all of these depending on the region or country you are in. There are movies that can be viewed in NETFLIX US that you can't view in NETFLIX PH. This is because of the restrictions in every country.

You can only do so when you use VPN.

Here are NetFlix subscriptions available in the Philippines:

Netflix mobile plan: Good for students or subscribers that use only phone. This subscription entails you to view a mobile phone/tablet with one screen at a time.

Netflix Basic: You can watch from phone/tablet/TV/PC... But can only have one screen at a time to watch.

Netflix Standard: You can view from phone/tablet/TV/PC... can watch 2 screens at a time.

NetFlix Premium: You can view from phone/tablet/TV/PC... can watch 4 screens at a time.
