It's been a while I wrote an article here due to work schedule. I took some time to think about my life. All my life I've never believed in the power of possibility. I always believed that somethings are just impossible to achieve not until few days back. I was working on a project, I never expected to win the project but to my surprise I won. Then I sat back for a while and now I believe in the power of possibility.
You can do anything you put your mind to. Nothing is impossible with God.
If you are a child of God, success is your birthright. You are loaded with potential for success, you are endowed with seed of success and you are empowered to succeed. You have no excuse to fail because you have all the resources-spiritual and physical at you disposal.
I'm gonna tell you to story of a medical student names Roger Bannister.
Roger was born on the 23rd of Marsh 1929. In a family of 6. His parents were both from working class families in Lancshire.
Roger was just like everyone of us. He struggled to make ends meet and he had the passion of running
He was diagnosed with a disease called Parkinson's Disease. As a medical student I had to make my research about this particular disease.
Parkinson's Disease is a kind of disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement often include some kind of tremors. If affects the ability to control your movement and the major symptoms are Slow movement, stiffness and loss of balance
Then I asked myself with all these symptoms, how could someone still have the passion and zeal to run ? Amazing isn't it?
Has anyone told you you couldn't do something?
Has anyone told you your goal was not possible?
Roger Bannister had the passion to run. He was so determined but was turned down so many times. He trained intensely. There were times he wanted to quit but still he never gave up ,he focused on his passion and envisioned the reality of living his dream.
*_Repitition is the Mother of skills_*
If you want to be good at something practice, but if you want to be great at something and master it, practice with passion.
Even doctors and Psychologist and other expert runners assumed that the human body could not perform at that level. It was physically impossible.
Roger Bannister popular known as *_Greatest living English_* in 1954, there were medical articles that's the body could not run a four- minute mile. Roger a young medical student went out and ran a mile in under 4 minutes.
Today any miler that is going to have any kind of natural recognition runs a mile in less than 4 minutes. Between 1954 and 1956, 213 men ran under 4 minutes all because one guy broke the barrier.
*The word "Impossible" appears only in the dictionary of the fool* _Napoleon_
No one had ever succeeded who has never at one point on the verge of disaster but they kept thier focus on winning and attaining thier goals. When obstacle arose they changed what they can change, accepted what they cannot change and keep moving ahead. They adapted to changes and are more inclined to find opportunity in it than frustration.
Surely,if you will not now, you will not burn. Never let obstacles limit your achievement. Success is measured by the level of obstacle one has contacted while trying to succeed and not by the greatness of the success. The obstacles we face in life are merely stepping Stones to reach to greater heights.
There is what we call a Transaction Manager and a Transformative leader.
A transaction manager might get things done, but they don't inspire anyone to join along or do it better. On the contrary, transformational leaders empower others to not only perform with motivation and efficiency but also constantly improve.
So I put it to you today. Which are you? A transaction Manager or a Transformative leader?
If you can see a way in spite of difficulty, your difficulty will eventually give way to your will.
I'm just sitting in my room now. Thinking of what I can achieve as a medical student. What do you want to achieve?
*SUCCESS COMES IN CANS*
One thing I believe in myself is that everything is possible unless you see it as impossible. Our thoughts controls our actions and when we think of it as being possible, so we would work to make it possible.
