He is just like everyone of us..... It's been a while I wrote an article here due to work schedule. I took some time to think about my life. All my life I've never believed in the power of possibility. I always believed that somethings are just impossible to achieve not until few days back. I was working on a project, I never expected to win the project but to my surprise I won. Then I sat back for a while and now I believe in the power of possibility. You can do anything you put your mind to. Nothing is impossible with God. If you are a child of God, success is your birthright. You are loaded with potential for success, you are endowed with seed of success and you are empowered to succeed. You have no excuse to fail because you have all the resources-spiritual and physical at you disposal. I'm gonna tell you to story of a medical student names Roger Bannister. Roger was born on the 23rd of Marsh 1929. In a family of 6. His parents were both from working class families in Lancshire. Roger was just like everyone of us. He struggled to make ends meet and he had the passion of running He was diagnosed with a disease called Parkinson's Disease. As a medical student I had to make my research about this particular disease. Parkinson's Disease is a kind of disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement often include some kind of tremors. If affects the ability to control your movement and the major symptoms are Slow movement, stiffness and loss of balance Then I asked myself with all these symptoms, how could someone still have the passion and zeal to run ? Amazing isn't it? Has anyone told you you couldn't do something? Has anyone told you your goal was not possible? Roger Bannister had the passion to run. He was so determined but was turned down so many times. He trained intensely. There were times he wanted to quit but still he never gave up ,he focused on his passion and envisioned the reality of living his dream. *_Repitition is the Mother of skills_* If you want to be good at something practice, but if you want to be great at something and master it, practice with passion. Even doctors and Psychologist and other expert runners assumed that the human body could not perform at that level. It was physically impossible. Roger Bannister popular known as *_Greatest living English_* in 1954, there were medical articles that's the body could not run a four- minute mile. Roger a young medical student went out and ran a mile in under 4 minutes. Today any miler that is going to have any kind of natural recognition runs a mile in less than 4 minutes. Between 1954 and 1956, 213 men ran under 4 minutes all because one guy broke the barrier. *The word "Impossible" appears only in the dictionary of the fool* _Napoleon_ No one had ever succeeded who has never at one point on the verge of disaster but they kept thier focus on winning and attaining thier goals. When obstacle arose they changed what they can change, accepted what they cannot change and keep moving ahead. They adapted to changes and are more inclined to find opportunity in it than frustration. Surely,if you will not now, you will not burn. Never let obstacles limit your achievement. Success is measured by the level of obstacle one has contacted while trying to succeed and not by the greatness of the success. The obstacles we face in life are merely stepping Stones to reach to greater heights. There is what we call a Transaction Manager and a Transformative leader. A transaction manager might get things done, but they don't inspire anyone to join along or do it better. On the contrary, transformational leaders empower others to not only perform with motivation and efficiency but also constantly improve. So I put it to you today. Which are you? A transaction Manager or a Transformative leader? If you can see a way in spite of difficulty, your difficulty will eventually give way to your will. I'm just sitting in my room now. Thinking of what I can achieve as a medical student. What do you want to achieve? *SUCCESS COMES IN CANS*

Love hurts, but life must go on ***What if heaven had visiting hours?*** It is 4pm and it's raining heavily over here. I had lost every inspiration to write an article for the day due to some personal challenges I have been facing. So I fumbled and ended up coming across the latest single of **Ed Sheeran** title "**Visiting Hours**". I've been a very big fan of Ed Sheeran right from a very young age, I memorised every single song of his by heart, so when I saw the song I just had to play it. This song has a lot of sentimental feelings which is something I can relates to. U Not too long ago I lost someone very close to me. Her death really devastated to the extent that I kept on wishing, hoping for another opportunity "**Goodbye. Till we meet a again**". Now, as much as I know this won't be possible. I can't help but imagine what if it is? *Visiting hours by Ed Sheeran can be divided into three different parts according to the lyrics*. ***"I wish that heaven had visitin' hours*** ***So I could just show up and bring the news*** ***That she's gettin' older and I wish that you'd met her*** ***The things that she'll learn from me*** ***I got them all from you*** ***Can I just stay a while and we'll put all the world to rights?*** ***The little ones will grow, and I'll still drink your favorite wine*** ***And soon they're goin' to close, but I'll see you another day*** ***So much has changed since you've been away"*** The first stanza talks about the Artiste Pain, how he wishes that she had been able to see her daughter grow up. This made me wonder. Will she ever see me grow up to become the man I was destined to be? . If only had visiting hours I would have loved to to show up at her doorstep to show her that I'm becoming the man that she had hoped I will be. ***"I wish that heaven had visitin' hours*** ***So I could just swing by and ask your advice*** ***What would you do in my situation?*** ***I haven't a clue how I'd even raise them*** ***What would you do?*** ***'Cause you always do what's right"*** ***"Can we just talk a while until my worries disappear?*** ***I'd tell you that I'm scared of turning out a failure*** ***He'd say, "Remember that the answer's in the love that we create"*** ***So much has changed since you've been away"*** The second half of the lyrics speaks about the Artiste problems and how he wished she was still alive to solve them. This particular lyric cause right deep into my soul. This is because as Humans we often makes mistakes, and get into problems. Problems we would wish someone was there to help us solve, I know that I'm suppose to solve these problems on my own but sometimes it gets so hard and difficult and cold and empty and all you need is just someone to rant to, someone to talk to, someone to complain to and finally someone to come up with solutions and that person was her but she has left me to meet her creator I do hope she is happy. ***"I wish that heaven had visiting hours*** ***And I would ask them if I could take you home*** ***But I know what they'd say, that it's for the best*** ***So I would live life the way you taught me*** ***And make it on my own"*** ***"I will close the door, but I will open up my heart*** ***And everyone I love will know exactly who you are*** ***'Cause this is not goodbye, it is just 'til we meet again*** ***So much has changed since you've been away"*** Finally, the third partof the song. The Artiste wished for a way to go up to the heavens and ask if they could her return her back home. I don't know about you, but if I had one wish, just one wish, I would ask that she would come back to me. But I know that's not possible, for death is inevitable and a necessary which we must all face when the time comes. Even though I'm unable to bring you back to life you will always live on in my stories, memories and my heart. So goodbye till we meet again. I don't know about you, but I'm sure majority have all lost people who are dear to us. So from one victim to the other I need to tell you this, time heals only of you are Willing to let it. We can't keep holding on to the past sometimes we have to let them go however hard it may seem. Instead, of wishing for your lost loved ones to come back to life, we must endeavor to strive to live our life for those we love for life must go on. So I say to you my dear friend. Farewell, may the light guide your path. I will not weep for you because I know that we shall meet again.

Leave us alone Not quite long a young man walked in. He was so tall and his face was rough. He sat with me and told me to settle down. He promised to let me go of I admitted to my crime, he convinced me that nothing would happen to me and let me go if I had just said those words. As a young man, i agreed to those terms not knowing it was a set up. There a huge camera on me while I admitted raping the girl. By the way, her name was Cassandra. I stammered as I admitted to the offences I didn't commit I was asked so intimidating questions which I gave positive response to. And I was also made to sign some documents When I was done with the video. Two policemen walked me out of the room. I was so weak and tired. I told them I wanted to go home. The policeman in my front just smiled at me and whispered to my ear "You are going nowhere young man". As I wanted to confront him He took me to a cell and locked me up I was so pissed, I kept on banging the cell walls. Little did I know that they had gone to arrest my friends from thier respective homes They tortured them and had them confessed that they did the crime like they did to me Gary, Moses and Tim were a bit stronger than me. So they could withstand the torture. When the news got to my mom that I was in jail. I don't even know how the information got to her. She hurried down the the police station. Confronting them that i can never do anything as such. They told her that if she wanted to get me out she would have to get a lawyer The poor woman went to the bank that morning to get some loan and hired a white man who was a lawyer cause that was what her money could get. My friends parent also hired lawyers. At that time to get a lawyer was over $600. But there are so set of white men often regarded as "Libiwo" they collected $100 from defenseless victims. So we had hope that the matter was gonna be be resolved. Moses mom had a friend who worked in CBA (Crochety broadcasting Association) The media carried the news. There was massive protest. Many people asking for our release. Actually the white men had intention of killing us but because the news had gone viral. The could not kill us. So they locked the four of us in seperate cells. They gave us food and water but we were fed once everyday, Me and my friends stayed in jail for 5 days and counting. The lawyers kept on fighting the case. At that moment, I was so prayerful. My mind was full of regrets "What if I had just stayed inside" "what if I die in jail" I had a lot going through my head. Our parents were allowed to visit only on Sundays. So this very day was a Sunday, my mom had just come back from church and came to see. She brought me some apples and sweets because she didn't have enough money on her. I didn't even care about the food all that I wanted was for her to be fine because she was the only one I had left. My mom was my fighting spirit. She kept on encouraging me to stay strong while the lawyers kept doing thier jobs. My friends mom was also fighting for them helping them out. The cell was smelling bad and dark. I was so scared of the dark so I stayed by the window where little light and air comes in. Days passed, the matter was still on. They fed us dried beans and corn every morning then the next day was gonna be only corn. I was never a fat person but the food there made it worse. I was lean and looking hagard. To be continued

Leave us alone I'm Jackie, grew up in a very small City in los Angeles. My mother was a trader and my dad, well he had no job. I grew up in a place full of black kids, I was also a black kids and was hated by the whites. 1978 has been a very crazy year for me. I had just gotten a job to work in a restaurant after finishing high school. I grew up in a place where the rate of racism was high. As a black man it wasn't easy to get a job but because my uncle was working in a very huge beverage company it was very easy for me to get a job. I had Three friends. Gary, Moses and Tim. Gary was my closest friend, we finished from the same high school. His father was a carpenter and he lost his mom when he was born. Gary lived with father and had learnt the art of carpentry from him. He was one of the best student in the high school but due to racism, they never awarded him with any scholarship programs. I spend most of my time with Gary because his house was very close to mine. Moses and Tim were also very good friends of mine. They both worked in a local barbing salon which they earn little. 80% of the income was given to owner of the salon who was a white man "Sir Lawrence" and the remaining 20% was shared between Moses and Tim. Day 1 It was 8:00pm in the night, so cold at night, work had just ended. I was so tired from work and needed something to eat. I invited my friends over to a restaurant because they had not eaten too. During the course of the meal, we saw some black boys all running towards a nearby sea all shouting. They looked drunk. They kept making noises ,banging tables and breaking bounds. I could feel the excitement in these young men. Moses starred at me, I started at Tima And Gary. We also wanted so much fun like the other guys. So Gary,Timi, Moses and I abadoned our food and decided to join the other guys to have fun We shouted and sang till we got to the end of the Street. We were so many. Over 50 boys. It was so Cold and I had not come with my cardigan. Gary was telling us to go back him but I was enjoying the whole scene. It was fun. Suddenly we beards loud scream. It was a girls voice. She screamed so loud. She was being raped. I was so frightened. I saw a rape scene that day. Then the police started coming. The boys ran Helter skelter looking for places to hide. The policemen chased us in thier huge vans. I ran and ran. Soon I saw police man right in front of me. I tried to explain but he hit me with a big stick. And that was the last thing I remembered I woke up in a cell, with over 30 other black boys. My eyes were swollen. I didn't see Gary,Timi or Moses with me. I was scared. I was just 19 then. We all sat on wooden chairs in a dark room. Then a huge man on a white and black suit walked up to me, asked for my name. I stammered he told me to follow him. Two policemen picked me up and took me to a dark room. I was beaten up by several men. I screamed for help. Noone to help me. They hit me so hard to the extent that I was bleeding from almost every side of my body. The man on suit later walked on and told them to leave me. He approached me and accused me of rape. As I tried to defend myself he slapped me and told me to shut up...he didn't give me permission to call my parents or friends and also threatened to kill me if I didn't tell the truth. I told him all that happened. He went out and brought a very big briefcase and told me to open it. When I did I saw plenty documents. He told me to pick one and sign. In the document it was stated that "Guilty of offence". I refused to sign that document. The room was so dark. The man paused and looked at me. He smiled and walked out of the room The men came again and started beating me. I almost died. I thought I had died. My face was swollen , I was bleeding. And I could hear stranged noises of a man laughing. They locked me up in the dark room for over 4 hours. No food, No water. I was so weak to the extent that I could barely stand up. Then a woman walked in with a video camera on her left hand. She said if I confessed I committed the crime she would let me go. I kept on telling her that I didn't rape the girl. I explained to her how I got there and the only thing I heard was a loud scream nothing more. She then asked me who I went with. I mentioned My three friends then she left in the room. I was so scared. I knew I had put my friends in trouble. It was 2;00am in the morning, my parents had gone to the nearest police station to file a complaint because they hadn't seen. They searched everywhere for me but nowhere to be found....To be continued.

If only I had changed the song I'm a medical student, in my first year though, so we just finished our first semester exams and I wanted to surprise my mom by coming home without her knowing....lol.....my house is a 3 hours drive. So during my journey, the driver was playing an old school song which I didn't like. I then had to connect to his Bluetooth. My favorite song then was **"Essence"** by Wizkid ft Tems ft Justin beiber. So I started playing, the passengers in the car all vibed to this song as it went on...lol...I guess the driver didn't like it and then told me to change the song or get out of his car after I had paid for the trip. I felt so embarrassed, One mind was telling me to change it another was telling me just leave the car. Omg...I had to follow the wrong one. So I left the car. As soon as I got down, it started raining heavily, I searched everywhere for shelter but couldn't find any. My clothes were wet, my books were also wet. Lolzzz...I will never forget that day in my life. I started regretting "if only I had just changed the song" but I guess it was too late. I trekked for about 45 minutes till I saw a truck that took me home. On getting home, the door was locked. The neighbors told me that my mom had travelled. I waited outside for about 4 hours no food, no water, wet clothes and my phone battery was low. I just sad down at the edge of the door thinking about my life. I was imagining myself eating so much food. I didn't even know when I slept off. Suddenly, a voice woke me up, it was a friend of mine. His name was Seyi. He was so surprised to see me staying alone. It was a so dark outside. He then told me to follow him to his house. On our way to his house, we saw a big scary looking dog coming. Seyi actually told me not to run but I was frightened and I decided to run. The dog chased me till I fell inside a gutter. I was injured. I broke my left leg. People gathered round me with bright Torchlight. Then I passed out. Al I could remember was someone shouting my name "Thywill" "Thywill". The next morning I woke up in my room. My dad was sitting very close to me. I could hear my mom's voice from the kitchen and could perceive the aroma of the fried plantain and egg she was cooking. I was so hungry to the extent that I was salivating. My left leg had swollen but was under care. My mom brought the food to me in my room and I narrated the whole story to her. She was so mad at me for now informing her about my coming. We talked for a while. Then she allowed me to rest. As I took a short nap, I had a very funny dream. In this dream, the police were chasing me with thier cars. I had mine too. It was a very fast car. Can't really remember the name but the car was so fast. I didn't know why I was being chased but I ran as fast as I could. They didn't catch me cause I was so fast. When I woke up , I was sweating profusely. Like I just finished running a 400m race..lolzzzzz. I was on the bed, I could not talk, walk or even move. I was so thirsty. Then I remembered all that happened to me and tears came rolling. If only I had changed the song. My dad walked in to check up on me and found me crying. He pet me then gave me some food and water. I was off social media for over a month because I was so Ill. My friends came visiting from time to time. It was an experience I will never forget. But I was glad for one thing. When my result came I had a cgpa of 4.64/5. Which was a very excellent result. My parents congratulated me. Something funny later Happened 3 months after the incidence. I saw this same driver in the park when I wanted to go home..lolz. he could not recognize me. The car could contain 5 people and I was the last person to complete it so the car can start the journey. I told the driver that I was going to enter the car. The passengers didn't understand why. One of them was even insulting. In my mind I was like "if only this man understood why"lol. Before the driver saw the last person to complete it , it took him over 3 hours. He was so frustrated. But I was not in a haste to go to school. So I patiently waited. Hmmmm this life, what his around comes around in a funny way. Maybe I had done something to deserve that experience.
